Have an indian coach for india will make a difference or not. But will never give an opportunity to blame others

I dont think the coach being an Indian can do anything great. The nationality of the coach to be selected does not seem to have any logic to me.. Now that Greg Chappel has failed, people are making their mind that India needs an Indian coach. But what about John Wright? He has been a superb coach, the mentor of the present Indian team (in a destroyed form). He was a foreign coach, but was really good at his work. On the other hand, I dont remember his predecessor Anshuman Gaekwad creating any magic with the Indian team.. So, the selection of the coach should be based on his abilities rather than his nationality!

i think the question is not about indian or foreign coach. the question is how indian team will be recovered and become a strong team . the new coach should be very very talented in the game of mind , cricket and feelings understanding . if the new coach is a foriegn coach , he should first make him familiar in india . he should know that how to bind players like a team and how to provide energy and passion for wining. indian coaches deserve a chance too.

We have tried foreign and indian coach both in the past. Both times failures are on higher side. Then why we should not promot indian coach only. They may prove better. This time indian coach will be selected. As foreign coach has failed.

its good that Chapell is gone now. The new coach should not basically be an Indian. As I have observed, the fitness levels of Indian and Foreign players are poles apart. The new coach should himself have high standards of fitness level before expecting the same from his indian counterparts. We can consider Whatmore or Richards for the same.
