On Sunday, our family will possess an extremely large television. It's a 52" HDTV projection tv. So the big screen is on the top and then there's the base, which is the speaker system, on the bottom. It's 51 1/4" in height. So there's no sticking this thing in an entertainment center or on a tv stand. It weighs 160 pounds!
Currently, we have an entertainment system that holds everything but the kitchen sink.
Where do I put all that stuff? I have been looking on the internet for examples of what people use to put their cable boxes, DVD players, movies, etc. when they have a tv this big.
And did I mention that our living room is fairly small?

We rented a big screen for awhile and loved it but that was a problem having the dvr and game system, the tv had a dvd and vcr built in. Our livingroom is fairly small but I had to use a two shelf stand and put it beside the television. It depends on how many extra items you have to hook up or if there's any you could move to another tv.Enjoy your big screen!

I like the idea of shelves, but they won't work since we're putting the tv in front of the window. The window is up pretty high & it's big. I was thinking of a small cabinet & found one I really like. Still don't know if that's going to work though but I'll find a way!

Hmm. Maybe you could move your entertainment center to another room, and use it for storing movies. About the cable boxes and DVD player.. Maybe buy a couple of shelves to put on either side of the TV, or run cables into another room. While that isn't very convenient, it's practical.
