I never had a sister in my entire life and I want one. It's hard to be the only daughter. I don't have somebody to share my secrets with. Having a sister must really be great. I wish I have one.

I am very blessed to have a twin sister :) I love her with all my heart, she is my inspiration and has always been there for me and vice versa. I miss her everyday (she lives in NZ and I now live in USA). Thank God for email, cell phones, postcards, letters etc or else I wouldn't have any way to keep in contact with her. We share almost everything together, support each other through good and bad times, and enjoy each others company. I'm lucky to have a sister, especially a twin :)

Hi! Seems like you're new here. Welcome to myLot! We are 5 siblings, 4 girls and one boy (the youngest). You see, we're almost an all-girl group! Hehe. Well, in my experience, yes we share girl stuff which could extend to secrets, clothes, accessories, toys, dreams -- everything! You know girls like talking a lot and telling stories, even until the wee hours of the morning. Yes we do that! The downside that I have experienced is of course I can't do away with competition. It's difficult when I'm always with my sisters. All the feminine aspects get unleashed, and conflicts, jealousies, catfights would arise. Nevertheless, now that we've all grown up, we are very close and we still share our stories minus the catfight. Happy myLotting!

Its really fun having a sister especially a sister you can talk to over with everything. Having a sister is like having a friend whose stays for you everyday of your living, never leaves you no matter what happens.

I'm not very close to either one of my sisters. They are 11 and 12 years older than me, and we have different dad's so I didn't grow up near them even. It must be nice to have a sister that you can be close with though because my Mom and my Aunts are inseperable! They have sister weekends where they go out of town together and plan all kinds of things. I'm sure I won't have that with my sisters later in life.

maybe you would! my brother and i used to fight a lot when we were younger but now that we are older and mature, we share problems, talk about stuff and share jokes. i just wished we were what we are now when we were younger. i miss them.

We can read each others thoughts and sometimes we can talk with our eyes, just by looking at each other i know what shes trying to say. honestly we cant live without each other. I have a sister but she was 10 years younger than me growing up so didn't do much of the girly things then. I was gone and married when she was 10. Now that I am back close by and she is married with kids we are a bit closer than ever. Would of been funner if we were closer in age when growing up that is for sure.

Well, I have a sister who is older than me. It's nice to have a sister but it depends on whom you will have. Mine is, she always teases me. I don't know why. But somehow, when somebody fights me, she is there to defend me.

It's very nice to have a sister, especially if you are a girl yourself. I'm very lucky to have a sister who is only two years younger than me. Because of our closer age gap we are very close. We are very different from each other as she is an extrovert and I'm more of an introvert but I think that we complement each other. Despite our differences we also share a lot of the same interests that's why we have lots of things to talk about. Sometimes we have our differences and arguments but we still love and care for each other despite this differences. I love my sister and I can't imagine my how my life would be without her.

I love it! They're God sent to me, especially my twin sister coz' she's my number one best friend. But i've always wished for an older brother, although I have many already.. not really my brothers by blood, by brothers in Christ who protects me and keeps me safe all the time ;) It's great to have them in my life ;)

I don't know what I would do without my sister. We are so close and we tell each other everything. If I ever need anything I know I can call her and she would be there in a heartbeat. She is my daughter's godmother and would be rearing my children if anything happened to me and my husband. We had our son's (first child for each of us) on the same day, in the same hospital. Our sons are like brothers and are the best of friends, our daughters are 13 months apart but are like sisters and are also best friends. We do pretty near everything together. She is such a big part of my life it is unreal. Were we always this close? No. When we were younger, especially the teen years we fought all the time, but that was part of growing up. And even back then, though we fought, we were always there to support each other when we needed it. There is nothing like having a sister.

I am 29 right now and my sister is GREAT. But when I was younger My sister was so mean, she used to beat me up, call me names, never let me hang out with her and her friends. She was horrible. Now she is allways asking when am i going to come visit, she calls all the time, I dont know what I would do now if she wasn't hear!! A sister is the only one person you can tell a secret to and you KNOW she will never tell

having a younger sister is hard for me coz i have to take care of her and i don't like a lot of responsiblities especially that we have no more mother, we lost her due to illness, and my dad is working and so am i, so i need to take care of her earlier in my life...

As I am typing this, I start actually to have tears well up in my eyes. My sister and I are 13 months apart, she was older and I looked up to her...we fought, we argued and it seemed to all family members we would never get along. I am 42 and she is 43 now, I love her so much and she feels the same way about me. We cherish any time we get to spend together and it's quite amazing, we are sooo much alike that our spouses make fun of us. I regret our discord in out teenage years, however I think now if I were to lose her, I would lose it! As an adult it's wonderful, as a teen it SUCKED having a sister!!! Thank you for your question! It's okay. I have two sisters. My elder sister is 7 years older than me and we're not really that close, I think it's because of the age gap. We're not close in the sense that we don't share our problems with each other but we do tease each other a lot and I get to borrow her clothes which is cool since she and I are the same size. I'm much closer to my younger sister who's 1.5 years younger than me. We share a room and sometimes we would talk until morning. We don't do that a lot these days because she's in the night shift so I'm left alone in my our room. The fights are bad though. We once had a row that lasted almost a year. Not a cat fight though, we were civil, we just give each other the silent treatment but it was hard specially when during those times we didn't separate rooms so it's hard to pretend that you don't notice her. :)
