Bringing up baby.

My wife and I have been married nearly 39 years, and have raised three wonderful daughters. None of them were "perfect"...neither were we. None of them were "angels"...neither were we. None of them were "saints"...neither were we.
But, all of us were "blessed"...of that I am sure. We brought our family up during a time when healthcare was something employers offered as incentives for recruiting new employees; "fully-paid Medical and dental healthcare"...it became part of the overall compensation package of the day. New employees were willing to take a little less "salary" (i.e., wages, cash, etc.) if their entire family healthcare costs were to be handled by the generous Company!
We brought our three daughters into this world and reared them through their college years without "going broke" because of exorbitant healthcare costs. I can only imagine where our family might be today if we were faced with some of the scary healthcare issues facing families today. I don't quite know how or why the industry has become the money sucking machine that it is now (oh, I have my theories, but I'll spare you those right now!), but if it doesn't stop soon, people just will not be able to provide adequate health care for themselves or their loved ones.
I often say to friends, "I don't know if I could handle 'bringing up baby' in this day and age"...mentally, physically, financially...so much has changed, and not for the better, in my opinion.
So...to those of you out there right now doing your level best to "bring up baby".....I genuinely wish you blessings from God in your endeavors. He can help keep you all healthy and strong.
May God Bless All!

That is good to know, that you are contended and satisfied with the way, you and your wife raised your 3 daughters. The ultimate things man searches for in life is this peace and satisfaction in heart, this lovely family bond. You have become successful in finding and getting that. Be proud of yourself.
