Easter Egg Hunt Gone "Bad"

Easter season is my favorite time of the year! I love the reminder of serving a Risen Savior and there are so many fond memories that I carry of past Easters... but this particular memory might be my favorite ever! Before my husband and I were even dating I had the opportunity to spend Easter at his house along with a friend of mine, Jill. Now, Ben, Jill and I were all attending Emmaus BIBLE College at the time (remember that) and we had Spring Break over Easter. We arrived at his parent's house unannounced and discovered that his sister and several of her friends were also spending Easter at their house ... they all attending Moody BIBLE College at the time. We all got along really well and it was a beautiful weekend ... I remember that we were outside alot playing catch. Sunday morning arrived and we all attended church together, Ben's dad is a pastor so we attended his church. Then we all shared a wonderful Easter lunch (my mother-in-law is an amazing cook!) and shortly after lunch we all stood ready for an Easter Egg Hunt to end all Egg Hunts. It was Emmaus vs. Moody (we called them the "Boody") in a no holds barred Easter Egg free for all! When Ben's parents gave us the go ahead we shot out of the kitchen door, plastic bags in hand, all finding our own little stash. It was frantic, with candy-starved [Bible] college students jumping on eggs to prevent the other "team" from the rainbow colored plastic treasures. It was awesome and we were all laughing and diving for eggs! When all of the sudden a piercing scream filled the air stopping us all in our tracks. As we looked around for the source of the scream we also noticed that Ben's parents were in tears with laughter! The next thing we noticed was that Emmaus student, Jill and Boody student, Stacy (the source of the scream) were rolling on the ground. The next thing we heard was, "She bit me!" "She bit me!" Now over the years there has been some argument on who bit who, but if memory serves me right ... Stacy tried to grab Jill's bag of Easter Eggs and Jill's immediate response was to bit her! When you think about it, she really was justified, it was a crime done in the name of chocolate bunnies and robin's eggs! LOL! Do you have fond Easter memories? Funny memories?

I have good easter memories, and two bad ones. me and my fiance have been together for 3 yrs. The first easter we were together, he had to go to the E-room. Then the 2nd on we were fighting all morning, then to make it worst our oldest had to go to the E-room. She was so sick she could not stop throwing up. So we spent our whole easter there. Now easter is coming up and We are hoping that is will be a better easter.

Aww....I am sorry about your bad experiences with the Emergency room on Easter. My whole family and I have gotten sick on Christmas and everyone was ssoooo sick that no one ever opened their presents, until later! LOL That was bad!! :) But it is a very interesting memory/time. :)

LOL! That is a very cute story! I thought that you were going to say that some eggs were not found and it turned out to be a disgusting, smelly egg hunt for the other eggs not found. I guess it was way off! I have had fond memories, but never as funny as yours. The years are still rolling by and there are nine of us...something in bond to happen later in the future as we get older!! :) LOL

What a wonderful memory! Isn't it great that things like this make such wonderful memories? It's odd how moments make the memories and not the things you got. Says a lot about family. My best memory from Easter was when my kids were small, my sister worked at a video store. She dressed like Easter Bunny and surprised the kids at our house.
