Which was your favourite Start Trek series ? I loved Voyager and have started to collect each season. I really liked Janaway as a captain, the interaction with Seven of Nine and the hopes of the crew that they would get home. Which is your fave and why?

Sorry, Captain Kirk isn't really my type. Hmmm I do find Captain Picard strangely attractive

This is a tough decision. Perhaps I can start with which I liked least - Deep Space Nine. Don't know why - maybe because it was based on a station rather than a starship that went out exploring? I really love Next Generation and Voyager, and also Enterprise. The original series was ahead of its time (literally, not because of when the series was set :) ) and set the scene - but I did prefer most of the later series (later made, not set - I do like Enterprise :) )

I liked Deep Space Nine because it gave a new slant to the series and showed that the Star Trek universe wasn't all about boldly going. I liked the way they weaved in stories and characters from other series. The Trouble with Tribbles was so cool when they mixed a story from the original series with the current cast

Definitely Voyager for me too! The fact that there is a lady captain which is unique and most welcome. Kate Mulgrew is fantastic as Captain Kathryn Janeway, she's a woman to have on your side when the going gets tough! She's a tough cookie and I really admire her both as the captain and as an actress. Although I can't stand Neelix I find him very irritating. Since getting Sky I have been afforded with lots of episodes of Voyager. I also love Stargate and to be honest I now prefer Stargate over Voyager. I hated Next Generation, and the original with good old Captain Kirk! (remember the The Firm and the Star Trekkin' song in the 80s) lol! Right, beam me up scottie...

TNG is easily my favorite. I'm not a big fan of the way they tried to turn several of the series into soap operas with continuing plots. I prefer stand alone episodes that you can enjoy without wondering what will happen next and getting lost if you don't know what happened before. TNG and TOS stayed the truest to those formats. I wanted to like Enterprise. I did love the crew and the feel of each episode, but I hated the fact that if you missed a show you were out of the loop next week. And when stations run reruns, they always scramble the order of Star Trek episodes so the soap opera format makes some of them almost unwatchable. I really wish the people who make these series would realize what made TOS and TNG so popular was the free form exploration format that allowed the writers to explore current social issues and not get bogged down in the "we're writing an epic story about xxxx spread out over three seasons" mindset.

I will say I always like TNG with capt. Picard, Data, and No.1. It just seemed like such a well oiled cast, they flowed and moved together so well. The only thing I didn't like was when Gates McFadden (the doctor) left the show. I can't remember the name of the woman who replaced her, but to me, she didn't add anything. Just my opinion. I did enjoy watching Voyager as well. The first season about killed me, though, with all the whining about never getting home. After that, it got a lot better! I loved the doctor adn 7 of 9. both added a lot of dimension to this show!!

My fiance has TNG, Voyager, Enterprise and DSN set to record on our DVR. I make fun of him all the time for being a Trekkie but I must admit I do get into a lot of the episodes. My favorite used to be TNG, but since I've been watching Enterprise and Voyager it's a close tie between the 2 of them. Janaway actually gets on my nerves at times but overall I really like the crew. The first episodes where Seven of Nine got involved were really interesting. But I really like Enterprise because it shows where it all started. And I really like Scott Bakula as captain, even though he has made some really stupid choices.

My favorite was Voyager and I had teenagers crash on Seven of Nine actor. I think it was Jeri Rayn. Searched for her movies, but it seams she didn't play in many. DS9 was a big disappointment to me. Star Trek - The Next Generation was also good. I hope they will make some new series of Star Trek.

I personally like next generation the best because I like the crew, but I feel that voyager has some really well written and interesting story lines.

I loved NG and the original series but I'd have to say that DS9 was the best. It was complex, had involving storylines, very deep and likeable characters, it could be dark and it could be really funny. It had some of the best star trek characters: Sisko, Worf, O'brian, Bashir, Kira, Dax(virtually all of them in one episode), Garak, Quark and Odo. a chunk of the series was also set during one of the most epic wars in star fleet history. Excellent stuff.
