which sport is most played around the world?

Unfortunatelly the football is. There are too much money in football. I do not like it! However the football is the sport of poor people too. Only ONE ball is needed and a few guys. The streetball or basket ball is the sport of the poorness too. So the football is a very good game and sport, that is no question,but I hate the money around it.

i would have to say it is soccer (european football) by far just because it has started to really take of in the states

football/soccer is the king. it is the most well known gamr everywhere. if not why every four years people from all the globe gather around to follow fifa world cup

Football is easily the most played game in the world. Tennis is also very famous, but not played in many countries. Atheletics are offcourse most played. But there are various catagories of atheletics. You can not call it a single game. Hockey is also not played by many. Cricket is most played in sub-continent and europeon countries. There are like 10 test playing nations and about 30 associate countries. Bottom line, Football. Happy Discussions.

I think soccer for sure it can be played anywhere and all ages can play.

I think football is the most played around the world. This sport isn't expensive sport that require special equipment nor special clothes....everybody can play it for fun. Just need a simple ball and something to mark the goal gate and can be played with more than 2 just player....that's why I think it is the most popular sport....
