How many of you are in favour of minimum payout be reduced to 5$ from 10$????

So friends and specially the members who have yet to receive their first payout dont you feel that the minimum payout should be reduced to 5$ instread of 10$.i certainly want that it shld be reduced .this cld be really a strong motivating factor for us .wat i have found after posting 40 odd replies is that u really need to be active and work a lot to get to a target of 10$ .though we are not prety sure that we will be rewarded for our hard work .there are some doubts in mind.but we are still continuing lol.
so i feel that it shld be reduced atleast for the 1st payment so we can be sure and be motivated
or wat we can do is have a trial period sort of thing
as if wat ever we earn in 1st month of joining will be
given to as the 1st payment and then we can shift to 10$ as minimum payment .
this would be really a big motivating factor
SO frnds wat u wana say abt this .May be my this idea reached the mylot team .

I disagree, but that's my opinion. I have mine set to not pay until $25. I can make that every month and it's nice to get there and get it paid. Last month I made $33...I would so much rather see a $25+ payment than just $5 or $10 monthly. But, that's just my opinion. :)

No, this is my third day on mylot and I have $3.94 in my earnings. I am not in a rush to recieve my payment though and was even thinking of raising it to a more useful amount like $50 so I could get something that is better. I will still feel motivated because I see the total rising!
In my opnion I think points to buy might be a better idea, only because they could offer more points and you could get a gift card, or a prize. But I like this too, I am not complaining!

I think $10 or more is perfect, that way you see the money increase and comment more. As for a $5 payment, I'd hate that as paypal takes out money as it is. I'd rather see I was paid $10, of course once I reach my first $10 I'll increase that up to $25.

lisado's right, I haven't had paypal take any money out of my earnings from myLot, either. On personal accounts, they only take out a percentage if you sell something (like on ebay)and then are paid thru paypal.

Well i also don't think about lowering the payout because i can reach out the minimum $10 payout in a single month. ok if mimimum payout is made $5 then the payout should me made twice in month then only i'll support this idea because i reach $5 in the first week then i'll have to wait the end of the month to get paid.

I don't think it needs to be lowered. It's pretty easy to make the $10 mark, even without referrals. They want to reward active members, and if you are active it's easy to make $10. I've been here three months, or so, and am expecting my third payment any time now. I only get to MyLot a couple of days a week, so I know I could make well more than the $10 a month I have been if I had more time to do it.

I have only joined MyLot recently and like to watch my earnings rise every day (even if only slowly as I tend to get carried away with reading the replies instead of making my own) I think $5 would make too many people just make that amount then disappear instead of being valuable members. It is good to know that some people are managing to make worthwhile amounts and are getting paid. How is the money raised?

hi magiccalmerlin ...i must say that you have written really a good point in favour of minimum payout of 10$.that with 5$ just too many people will join .But the situation can be other way around also .Once they get their first payout they would be convinced and there will be no doubts in their mind and there will be more active members.OR do u feel that after getting 1st payout they would not come bac ?i dont find any reason for that ..........

I have to disagree as well, especially since the upgrade when making earnings is much easier than it's previously been. I think a $10 minimum is low enough. It wouldn't really matter, even if it were set at $5, you still wouldn't get the payout until the 15th of the following month. I think at $10 it makes people work harder so they make the minimum each month. I love myLot and have managed to make well over my minimum every month.

You make some valid points about keeping new members motivated, so valid that I hate to disagree with it, but atlas I fear that if the minimum payout was decreased there would be a lot more rubbish being posted. Not to mention a lot more repeated questions (which is already a problem).
To me it's not really a problem getting to the $10 payout and no matter the amount of money one is given to stay motivated, I find the best motivator is yourself. I think even after receiving the $5 payout and it was changed to the $10 payout people would still become inactive, by either becoming bored with the site, or feel that their time is just a big waste here, no matter the income.

Ya I feel you are certainly right.
Every mylot user has been and is curious to receive his 1 st payment. All the other payment is like one in the usual run but the first payment is exiciting and thrilling.
Even I am a curious mylot user working for my first payment and I have earned 2.85$ so far and it would be far easier to reach a destination of 5$ as compared to 10$ which requires almost double the amount of work.
I have realised that the saying "Curiosity kills the CAT" is ture only after this prolonged temptation to receive my first payment.
I hope this scheme will be brought in to action to help new mylot users...to get their 1 st payment.

If payout is reduced to $5 then it will encourage more people to invest their time here and i will be also one of them.It will be more fun having the Payout in just a week.. or even less than that time.I think it will be an encouraging part.

i guess u r right... earning 10$ at the rate of just 20-50 cents a day is quite tiresome...it takes one hour to earn just few cents but i guess tht teaches us the hard way of earning lol...and by the way dont 4get to rate my comment, it'll increase my ratings

It won't have any effect on me.Now don't get angry with me.Let me tell the reason for it.Im only 17 years.To have a paypal account,i have to be 18.So three months more ill have to wait.Anyway in three months ill easily reach $10.So it wont have any effect on me.If at all im happy it would be for one reason.The reason is you all will be benifited.Good Luck.

I think $10 is more than low enough, most months I make at least $30 here and I don't post all that much, so its not as if making $10 is at all difficult. Plus, its motivation for new members to keep posting and to try to get a few referrals.

No I think 10$ is okay as its easy to reach with in a week if you are really serious here. You can see my blog for tips to maximise your earnings here. there arew many sites out there which have lower minimum payout but I have found that most of the webmasters run out of the money to soon. I have been earning from mylot for past five months now and it has never delayed any payments and niehter has changed iots policies. I like its fair and square dealings.
rememeber the story of goose who laid golden eggs. So my friend do not kill the golden goose ever be patient and keep earning. do not be greedy and shut down on such good oppurtunity.

well it would be nice to be paid as regularly as possible.that would definitely motivate the new users and also the other users in increasing their participation in this website.not that we have doubts but we are sure that mylot pays its users and takes care of them.but it would be nice to be paid on a more regular basis.at times $10 seem to be a huge target to reach.the time we need to put in varies and the outputs always keep fluctuating.changing the payout has its own pros and cons.the one thing is people will tend to participate more and some may leave also for the same reason once they get paid.

I have to say that I disagree with this. I have mine set to $10 and I surpass that by far every month.
Mylot have their lowest payment set as $10 for a reason and we shouldn't have any problems with that.
In order to make money on here you HAVE to put the work in. It's not a get rich quick scheme, nor is it one that will pay without any effort.
Mylot do pay us very well for our efforts, but we have to work for it. Not to be mean but if you're looking to get money without doing much work, then you may want to try somewhere else.

thx for replying .see i am not saying that i am not ready to put the hard work .wat all i am saying is either the "first" yes atleast first payment be of 5$ .see if u got something in hand u will be more eager to get the second and wil contribute more whereas with nothing in hand and believing u will get that one day is spme wat difficult and some times make u take a bac step. YOU HAVE GOT 2474 POSTS SO OBVIOULY YOU ARE USED TO IT.

hey hii!i totally agree with you that the minimum paymenty should be 5$!i am an indian so even 5$means a lot!but only the first payment for motivation and encouragement!its really great when you get your first payment even if itsa small amount!hey but for me its of no use!becuase it seems for indians the minimum target is 100$!only then are we qualified to get the payment through paypal!so guys be happy with what you all get!its better than 100$ right than 10$??

Yes may be you are right. if the minimum payout is 5$ for the 1st time , then one is really motivated, and works much harder.till today, one really wonders, if one will get the payments or not???, there are many such sites, where i have worked/ slogged, but without any returns.
which i hope will be the case in mylot.
we certainly hope my lot pays the money in time, so that the people in mylot work more to earn more.
if only any body can tell me, what is the earning potential in my lot, can we really make at least 1000$ a month???, if yes then how???
