What's it like switching to a different branch in the military?

My husband may be switching from Air Force Reserves to the active Army due to the fact they are not allowing any Reservist to switch to full active right now and we can't wait for them to allow it when we live in an area that is lacking in jobs. Anyone here switched branches before? I heard they give you a hard time if you were another branch and switch over.

I personally haven't experienced this myself. But I believe right now any branch of the military would be happy to have your husband. If he is transferring for the sole purpose of income, I think he may come up against some issues with others, but if he is transferring because he wants to serve his country, I believe that he will be welcomed and appreciated for transferring.
As you know, many are torn about this war and many have very strong opinions. But those that are in the military and serving our country deserve respect and admiration for what they are doing, whether they believe this war is right or not. Regardless of whether they transfer from one branch to another or have just been recruited or been in the military for 20 years.
Best to you and your husband

He is always proud to serve his country. He went Reserves more for me because of my health and how important it was for me to be near my great grandmother. However now it is about the income because we are struggling and this war took all the funding from the Reservist to put it toward the war. My husband use to be able to get lots of orders to work at the Reserve base but now even know they have plenty of work for him and really need him they have no funding so he can't work.
