I watched Forum 2007 yesterday April 5, 2007. Three senatorial candidates were there. Allan Peter Cayetano, chavit Singson and Kiko Pangilinan. Each one of them were given questions and wow! Alllan gave several satisfatory answers. Allan is equal to Chiz I should say. He also gave supporting facts to justify his answers. Kiko did well too. But Chavit Singson was the worst. His answers are very short as if he can't think of the right answer. He never gave any justification to his answers. What a waste of vote if it were for Chavit. What do you think?

I agree, being a good conversationalist is not what it takes to be a good politician. He seems likable but what laws has he passed when he was in the Congress that helped? I look at politicians based on their achievements. Jeez, if Chavit wins, I will seriously consider moving to another country. It's so obvious that he's an underhanded crook.

i will vote for GO straight. for the sole reason, i want GMA impeached. but, personally, i believe Allan and Chiz are all just talks. they are very good speakers - only in speaking. on actions, i haven't yet to see actions.

I agree with you that allan and chiz are only for words. They know that words are enough so they can get the votes. I hope that we will at least vote wisely rather than out of hate.

Allan Peter Cayetano is brave. Anyone else brave enough to challenge the Arroyos? I'm not really that surprised that most politician don't even have answers for problems the country face. It happens every day.

Allan Peter Cayetano...not bad for his brains and the way he present facts and supporting evidences. He's becoming more and more like his father Rene Cayetano. Being one of the popular opposition congressman, there's no doubt he has the chance in becoming a senator. But as his constituent, I doubt his capacity to serve. All his time as a congressman, there was no significant action/plan/project done in our district. Don't take me as a "pakawala" to discredit Peter Cayetano. It's the political system to blame. You have a good and promising man who might serve the country well. But as what machiavelli presented, the man who kills the crocodile, replaces the latter.

Elections has been a mediocre in our country. I would vote for Allan Peter Cayetano hoping that he's one of the new generations of politians in the Philippines. He may get eaten by the system and that someday he would get corrupt too. But as of now its better to vote for someone like him than uneducated wannabe's or popular magnet or corrupt thinker. I mean most them run and wants to have a position by simple getting the peoples money.

Mine will be a dissenting opinion. I don't like this guy, Allan P Cayetano. His expose on the first gentleman was only for publicity so he can be popular. When he announced his intention to run for senator, I immeditely knew that that act of exposing the first gentleman was for the purpose of boosting that candidacy. And I was proven right when he used it in his tv propaganda. It may do well if we remember that there were two delegations which went to Germany to investigate on his allegations. The first one, the first gentleman was with the team and the second one, there were four congressmen who went. (This is as far as I can remember). The first one, proved his allegations were unfounded. The guy demanded for a second investigation, he was required to go with the second team but refused. Everybody wondered. For me, I believe that he declined because, he knew first hand that those are only manufactured complaints. Then again, I was proven right...he didn't go with the team because, he knew nothing will come of it. To think that those two trips has cost so much in the coffers of the Philippine treasury! These very corrupt guys just don't care if the Filipino people will suffer so long as their ends/targets/goals are reached. I am hoping that you will take kindly on these observations.

I think Allan Cayetano would be a good politician, if he does what he says. Sorry I'm just so sick and tired of Traditional Politicians in the Philippines. How can they get so corrupted and just wanting to get more rich. Best of luck for the Election in Philippines.

Yes, we need an 80% new members to the senate. Not all traditional politicians (trapos) are that bad. There are trapos that are still doing fine...i mean, there are capabilties that young politicians don't have compared to these trapos. These May election i will not waste my vote unless i will not vote, that waste. I will ask our Lord to guide my heart in choosing the candidates. I don't know these candidates, if Allan, Chiz and Kiko can answer right and Chavit, sumasabit... the senate needs a balance of personalities.
