My favorite song of the Beatles is "the fool on the hill", and who knows what "the fool" in songlyric does refer is?

Well, I'm not really sure.. but I read somewhere that Paul saw some old man standing on a hill he was all alone... Next thing that happened, when Paul looked again, he was gone! Probably it was someone.. like God? Oh well. Something like that! It's on ^_^ wiki.

My Favourite Beatles song is "Something" a song witten by George Harrison who i still believe had the best voice of all the Beatles

paul wrote the song in an event which took place in primrose hill. one morning paul walk his dog martha around the hill and then the dog run away from paul. when he looked for his dog, he saw a man atop the hill, looking respectable in his belted raincoat without making a sound. paul was sure that man was not there when he walked martha, his dog. they exchanged greetings and the man said "what pleasant view in this morning" the hill was ovelooking london. and when paul found his dog, the man was gone. paul was with a companion, a certain alystair taylor. and so he wrote the song "the fool on the hill" about someone whom some detracators called him a fool, although his demeanor is respectable...

"the fool " in the song lyric refers to a man on the hill who is considered a fool by others.paul was refering to that man who he saw on the hill.
