Few months in the summer time ,my friend had a bad experience on the train. One day ,she went to work as ususal, she was wearing a skirt, sitting at the back row of the train and there were plenty of vacant seats on that carriage. A guy got into the train and sat beside her. It was fine at the beginning as my friend thought he just did not want to walk too far to find a seat, but after 10 minutes, my friend felt a bit cold at her legs, and something was moving around outside her thigh, she then noticed it was the hands of the guy. She did not dare to say anything but stay away from him, but this brazen guy returned her with a obscene smile, my friend had been crying for the whole night about this... Luckily, it was not me on the train.. Have anyone ever seen these or had experience personally?? If you are woman, what do you think you will do? If you are guy ,what will you do ,will you try to stand up and help the victim???

Why did your friend not loudly tell him to get away from her? was she so ashamed? Tell her that the best way to deal with this kind of man is to be loud about her response to his violations. next time she must yell, "what are you doing? get your hands off me, you pig!" believe me, he will get up and run away

i think she do correctly...if she scold that guy loudly, that guy may be ashamed but he might take a revenge on another day, so...you just need to be more carefull.

i dont understand why she was crying all night?? Surely a girl must speak out in this case... it may happen again. Jus yell "police! police!"... this always scares a opportunist and gets the attention of good citizens.

Forget the police - you have no proof. No, yelling 'get off me' is the best bet. Trouble is that sometimes a girl who dresses sexily responds very favourably to such advances so men will try their luck and sometimes win. Not all girls are pure as the driven snow and nowadays some are real man-eaters!

True,,that is what i am thinking , the problem to catch those perverts is you do not get witness. May be the only way is to try to scream and scare them away.

I would have smacked him and yelled.I would have reported him. They would have stopped that train and the police would have been called. He should not get away with that type of behavior. He is so trifiling for doing that.

yes sadly i heard too many stories that are similiar to the story you just wrote. i know that if something like that had happened to me i would stand up and scream at him like he was never screamed at before. and you'll be sure that this guy would not repeat what he had done before. why are they doing those things?? it just kills me thinking about it. i really hope that your friends learns how to treat those man, so they would never again put their hand on her.

Thats what happens when you run across someone who lacks decency. I think she should have whipped out her camera phone (if she had one) and get a picture of the perv and called police. If he'd done that to me though I would have put a hurt on him.

Even though I am not a women, I dont like these sorts of happenings , because I also have sisters they also can face these sorts of situation. So these sorts of attitude should be punished there in. She should have called the railway police if there is some one like that and should have that an behind bars. that will be a good lesson to others..

It is hard to catch them and put them behind bars because most of the time, the perverst will only be warned by the police at most..

It is time for women to stand up be heard! Don't sit back and take abuse or feel that you have no choice. Use that key in your hand to jab him a good one. I always carry my keys in my hand from the minute I walk out a door. Scream out! Get your hands off me! HELP! Don't stop until you get a response from someone for help. Do whatever it takes. Use your elbow to jab the offender in the nose or side. Stomp on the instep of the offenders foot. You can carry pepper spray but sometimes this can hit you as well. You are born with appendages that can be used to really hurt someone so use them. And keep those keys handy to leave some identifying marks on the guilty party!

unfortunately this seems to be happening more and more often. The only way to stop it, i have found is to announce in a loud clear voice, get your hands off me, it works blessed be

I would for sure have given this guy a knockout. If someone would touch me like that I would not have stayed quiet. However maybe she was scared - but she was on a train and he probably would have stopped or other would have made hims top. There are perverts everywhere and it is sad that a girls should not be brave enough to speak up and tell the person that he´s doing soemthing that she will not accept!

Of course she was nervous, in fact it seems that in mnay situations, the people who witness the whoel event tend to keep silence and just stay at a corner and watch.

Yes..it happened before me in a crowded bus. I was standing near the ladies seat in a crowded bs, when from a stop a young girl got in and pushed herself in the crowd towards me and managed to squeeze herself and stand before me. the girl appeared to be very much tense and afraid. Just then a man came from behind the crowd and pushed me aside and stood behind her. I became angry due to this pushings and started to protest when the man looked at me with terror in his eyes. He appeared to me a bad charachter and I also noticed that the man is quite strong and powerfull than me. So I kept quiet as did other passengers. This man was then pressing himself against the girl and also kissing her below her neck. She tried to protest but in vain. She even requested me to tell this man to behave, but I too was afraid to take on the man. This molestation of the girl continued before everybody for about 15 min. and no person protested.

It is a shame stuff like this happens. Honestly I do not think I would stand up and help the victim. I'm a short and skinny guy who lacks the confidence to do such things. I look back at points in my life where I should have stood up for my wife or freinds and backed down. I wish I could say I would help her, but I'm just trying to be honest.

perverts are all over! you have to be invisible to them. avoid provoking dresses in public places. if you are not conspicuous enough, they will let you alone. do not expect the hand of law to help you in such places- you take your own precautions. or do not complain.

I can see how you could "freeze" in the moment and not know what to do... Your poor friend...how scary and humiliating. I honestly don't know what I would do. I can see myself either freezing up or standing up and leaving the seat. I'd definitely tell someone at the station and report him in some way.

It's bad to hear that this happens and I know it happens too many times. It happened to me when I was 10 or 11 and luckily my big sister was there and helped me to get away from the man. It is really scary to think about it I don't know what would have happened if she wasn't there, because I was just too afraid and confused to know what to do, but she just told me that we had to go and pulled me away. I'm really happy for those that help people that need it.

It seems that there aren't many that are willing to help... but I'm really glad that there are some people. I would say now that I would want to help... but I think maybe if it happened now to someone I'd be too scared to help, because I'm not very strong. But I should still try, by getting attention of others or finding security or something like that.

Well I am a guy and frankly I think it is sick to make advances like that! Well there was one time that when me and my mates went to hangout at the mall and when were coming back by the public bus, we saw this guy sitting next to a lady and being really close to her, at first I thought that maybe it is someone that is related to her in some way or the other and continued talking with pals when suddenly the lady got up and went to the top front and sat down and I noticed that she was pissed off (She sat down near where me and my buddies were seated) and then a thought came to my mind whether that guy was harrasing her or was she just simply mad at him. My suspicions were confirmed when that guy who was harrasing her gave a wink to another guy (his friend) who was on the last seat of the bus and then he got up and boldly went over to the girl and again sat next to her, she was ignoring him untill he touched her and then she screamed "Get Lost". At that moment I asked her what was the matter and pointing to the guy she said that he is harrasing me and that did it. After a heated conversation with that guy, we decided to settle this on the "street" but unfortunately for him and his friend we were 7 guys and then well after the lesson we taught them I can guarantee they will think twice before doing anything sick as that ever again. So well the best advice I can give is to let the people know that someone is harrasing you and if you just complain to the police and if there is lack of evidence then no legal action will be taken.

Indeed he was but like I said after I got over with him, I seriously doubt that he will ever muster the courage to repeat this act.

I used to travel to work on the London Underground, an absolute mecca for perverts in the rush hour. It happened to me a few times and each time I shouted in a very loud voice, "Get your stinking hands off me" and boy did that work. I know it is upsetting but unless you shout, they will get away with it
