What was your biggest cooking disaster?

Lately I seem to of lost my touch when it comes to cooking. I put it down to being so distracted by my baby and toddler. Tonight it took me three attempts to create a nice sauce to go with chicken and rice and in the end it still wasn't that great. Last week I baked a cake from scratch and forgot to grease the cake tin so it stuck to the tin and fell apart when I tried to get it out. These little disasters of mine have prompted me to ask what your biggest cooking disaster has been. Got any funny stories to share?

Well, thankfully I myself, haven't had any recently, but I remember at a bbq at the inlaws, the father in law did chicken wings, as well as other meat. Once he'd dished it all up, we all started eating before someone pointed out that there was still blood dripping from the chicen wings. How nobody got sick is anyones guess.

LOL there must be a chicken wing epidemic! I went to my sister's house for a bbq just before last Christmas and her Hubby cooked marinated chicken wings and left them raw too. I didn't discover it until I'd taken a huge bite out of one. I pretended to wipe my mouth with a napkin and spat it out, gave my DH a whispered warning not to eat it and sent him on a mission to get the chicken off the kids plates. I just wasn't game to say anything because my BIL was trying so hard to impress. He ended up discovering his mistake a couple of minutes later so thankfully nobody got sick.

OMG LOL my biggest cooking disaster would have to be the first time I tried to make a roast when I was like 17 yrs old....it was still frozen when I put it in the oven and I didnt know how to cook it in the first place let alone for how long with it being frozen....it didnt cook nearly long enough and as I was serving everyone, the center was still frozen LOL it was awful and I was SO embarrased....LOL other than that I cant think of any real disasters..I mean I've had dishes not turn out to MY liking but everyone else has enjoyed them.....of course I love to cook and have for yrs now and have been doing it for yrs as well so I'm quite educated on the topic and actually I'm a pretty damn good cook LOL
