who was your starting pokemon in this game and why did you choose this pokemon? what pokemon do you think is the best starter and for what reasons?

I always chose the water types because they were the most versatile... they can learn water/ice attacks and some can use earthquake which takes out electric and grass/poison types.

Mudkip,because it is very cute. Water pokemon, because the first gym uses stone type pokemon.

I think it's doesn't matter what is your starting pokemon, as long as you can catch all of pokemon. And each pokemon has the unique ability depend to your oponent. But if you want to face the grass pokemon type first, I suggest fire type pokemon.

In blue it was charmander, In silver it was totodile, In sapphire it was treecko, and In pearl it was turtwig. I chose them because I like reptiles. They are reptile pokemon.
