A man and his son were in an automobile accident. The man died on the way to the hospital, but the boy was rushed into surgery. The emergency room surgeon said "I can't operate, that's my son!" How is this possible?

nice riddle you have here.. kinda tricky.. usually we might think that the surgeon is a man, but the answer the surgeon is the son's mother.. why is that? neways thanks for this post.. it makes my brain works a lil bit.. :) hehe

I think the surgeon is the wife of the man and the mother of the boy.I hope I got it right.
