could you please give me advise on how to discipline an adoring and lovable 2 years old son who is very energetic and loves to climb tables, run a lot, and throws things out the terrace?

yes my son is an only child. my biggest concern is for his safety. sometimes he goes up on cupboards, tables, entertainment center, etc. i am afraid he might fall or things might crash on him. i have to be watchful of him all the time. i am quite lucky though that he is usually good and charming when we are in public. he would catch the attention of people by staring at them and when he does catch their attention, he would wink at them and smile.

I know what it is to have a handfull! But I prefer my son to be active than to have one that sits down, whereever I put him and not move. Try to get his attention on something he likes, and let him put his energy into that. That is what I did. Working with me in the garden. It used a lot of his energy and he loved to do things adults do. Made him feel big!Good luck!

thank you for your advise. i will try my best to give him more attention so he can do things that he likes to do. he also likes to do grown up things and be helpful. i really need to do those things with him so he will not get hurt or something. he likes washing things like washcloths and washing the dishes.
