Has Anyone Owned African Butterfly Fish? Experiences?

Hi! My local pet store just got two african butterfly fish in yesterday. They are awesome and I am considering buying them, but I read that they can be quite aggressive and do eat smaller fish. Have any of you ever owned them? What other fish did you house them with? Can they go in with other cichlids? I would appreciate hearing about any experiences with them. Thanks! :-)

I have never owned them. I would love to see a picture of your fish and tank. We are wanting to get a nice tannk and various fish but have not done so yet. We used to have fish but gave our tank away. They are so expensive to purchase today.

Hi! I just had a thought. Do you have a local Freecycle chapter where you live? That might be a way to trade something you don't need for an aquarium setup. You never know what people have that they don't use anymore! :-)
I took a picture of one of my blood parrots the other day. If it turns out, I'll try to post it here. I'm not the greatest photographer, but I would like to "show off" my babies! LOL :-)
