Like many of us, I am a member at PaidForum.net. I don't really do anything there except check to see how much money I've earned every 4 days or when I remember. Today I had some free time so I checked. This is what I got: Site is closed for a while We have decided to close the site for a while so we can stop the DDOS (attacks) against our site which is slowing everything down, we cant access stats or nothing at the minute Also there has been rumours going about that this site is involved with virus, trojans? this is untrue we use Seekmo which is a zangocash toolbar, spyware free. Also other numourous rumours going about that are too many too list, horse racing scams (dont ask very weird), to other sites which are zero to do with us. We are sad that there are certain people who are causing the site harm, and do hope to be back up and running as usual very soon! All payments are held, but not forgotten Thanks Were their eyes too big for their plate? Did they bite off more than they can chew? Can they compete with MyLot.com?

The biggest mistake they made from what I can see is that they allowed people to paste any amount of garbage .... a few people we know where on there as well and they tried to make some sort of quality posts .... said there were a group of about 20 who each started good discussions and replied to each others. When a site offers to pay 5 cents for starting a new discussion but only 1 cent for replying there is something wrong .... this is more so when the posts only have to be 10 characters. It is bound to lead to spamming ... and that is what happened I am told. I had a look at it ... but it held no interest because of lack of time ... and no quality whatsoever. For someone wanting a quick few dollars it would be fine ... if they pay that is. I would not write them off yet and would like to think they will pay honest members who did not spam, get bogus referrals for the money and so on. There are plenty of forums on the internet ... and they all vary. For example a couple of friends have told me they make a lot of money here .... for posting and not referrals .... I certainly don't and am not making anywhere near what they are. I could call this all sorts of things ... but maybe once my ratings are higher I will earn more per post ... at this time it is hardly worth the effort for the time I spend here. Some forums are good ... my partner is in a couple that she enjoys ... they have limits on so many posts per day but she always manages payout each month within those limits. They actually pay more per post than myLot .... but as I said they have limits on the number of posts a person can make per day and they delete spammers every day.

Paidforum did/ does lack quality. Several of the discussions were copied from mylot and most of them had no responses. You can make some extra cash on MyLot. Don't give up. I can say that if I posted 100 items, I would get about 2 cents a post but if you post less you will get paid more per post. That is my discovery. If you are not earning as much as you should, you might want to avoid using the ... at the end of your "thoughts". I believe it would fall under excessive use of punctuation and might lower your earnings.

No wonder i was always dubious about that site which is, as was predicted, down for a 'While'. A 'while' can be 100 years or forever, you never know, so lets just forget about it. I think one should never trust such kind of cheap sites again 'ever' even if they relaunched afresh. Their only fault according to me was, they'd allowed to use HTMLs,copy-pasting,disorganised threads in the forum. One would never know what kind of mess they can enmesh in to the site.I feel like laughing out loud when they say that 'all payments are....not forgotten'.LOL. How pity and pathetic!Considering the admins had $1 million in their coffer and they were supposed to pay out thrice their money in hand.

Just like you said. The site was truly a mess. I didn't like it. It seemed like people saw dollar signs and thought that they were going to retire. There were not a lot of responses to discussions. Maybe it was just to collect email addresses and information to sell. When I see a website I try to associate some logic to see why and how it exists. I never saw a purpose in that site.

Can they compete with MyLot.com? of course, everything is in competition. But the question is could they surpassed what MyLot is having? Unless they will pay 5 cents a post then they could compete.

It looks like they are trying to compete. But what kind of competition are they if they are down for a "WHILE". Their site looked no where near as good as mylot and did not run very well.

Been also a member of paidforum.net for a couple of months... but i've been with mylot first. So, just like what u said, they decided to "temporarily" shut down...., i just wish our earnings wont be forgotten. Maybe they're just trying to compete with mylot. Well, im still confident that my home, mylot, prevails over them.

I didn't do much. I think I have $6.73 and paid forum. All I really did was promote my referral link and started some discussions. Hopefully they fix that crappy site while they are on hiatus.

I got $51 in paid forum for 1600 post and reply, that is really a tired job, I spent more that 6 hour a day for 15 days in that site. Well, I'm still hoping that paidforum really paid. now and then I'll try to stick in mylot for good. pay us please. T.T

I am not a member of this site, but usually when you see that type of message it means they are most likely going to faed away. As far as competeing with Mylot I am sure there will be many sites trying to do it, but I think Mylot has a realistic pay scale. These sites that offer a flat fee per post are looking for trouble because people will take advantage. There are things not to be liked about Mylot, but with over 80,000 members it would be hard to please everyone all time. I think Mylot is learning and growing along with its members and if we provide feedback it can be a really great site.

I feel the same as you. Many will try to compete and fail. The competition offers gold and rewards nothing. LOL. MyLot is a nice site with great features. It will be hard to compete. Look at ebay. THOUSANDS of internet auctions have come and gone. Yahoo couldn't compete with ebay. Yahoo auctions are free just to keep traffic coming.

I thought from the beginning that it was too similar to payposter. I joined but didn't do much as it was set up so poorly. I don't know what the purpose of it was because people would just post spam. No one really had much discussion or debate. It wasn't my cup of tea that's for sure. I doubt they will be back and if they do come back I bet the money turns into something other than what was promised..if anything. They can compete with mylot, any place can but they will never be as good. Especially if they start out like paid forum did.
