Homemade food for my dog

I've been listening to all these recalls on dog food on the news and I'm a little worried by it especially when my pyppu lab was coughing and was throwing up in the last couple of days. I wanted to see what's the best food I can make at home for him so I don't have to buy food from the store for now. Please help.

Homemade dog food is VERY do-able!!! I did it for years for my rescues and the results were absolutely stunning! Please thoroughly educate yourself about the nutritional needs of dogs first then put BARF into any search engine. BARF stands for Biologically Appropriate Raw Foods (or Bones and Raw Foods) and should give you loads of sites to learn more.

I was on the group for BARF and i did not feel it was for me. I would suggest doing a search on homemade dog food, or dog food recipes. I would think you would be overwhelmed with choices!
