Tonsils and squirrels

When I was 5yrs old I had to have my tonsils removed and in those days we had to stay in hospital for about 5days. (ugh). Strangely enough I don't remember feeling ill or pain, only the squirrels that were in the gardens of the childrens hospital in UK. A nurse would come and tell us to look out of the window and there would be the squirrels eating. It really was lovely. I don't think I have seen a wild squirrel since. Amazing how good animal life can make you feel.
