Have you ever experienced having only a few cents in your pocket and its not enough to pay your bus fare in going home? If you are in that kind of situation, what will you do?

I was studying in Cebu City, Philippines then, taking up civil engineering in the Cebu Institute of Technology. My last class was at 7:30 pm till 8:30 pm. I took the jeepney to Colon Street where I can take a ride bound for Lahug, where I lived. While waiting for that jeepney ride to happen, three kids bumped into me. I didn't mind. Then I took the first jeepney that came. Upon reaching my destination, I discovered that my wallet was gone. Although the fare was something like only twenty centavos then, there was no way I can afford it. I talked to the driver about my dilemma and he understood. It was such a shameful experience.

This is an awkward situation to us.If you can contact your family member, you can resolve your problems. You can also contact your good friends to help you.Another,if the distance is short, you can walk along the street and go home.

I have experienced this one time when I was still in college. I usually wait on a certain place to ride a bus home after school. When I was already in the bus, I was about to pay my fare when I noticed that my wallet is no longer in my bag. It was stolen. I told the collector what happened. Thanked God he sympathized with me and told me that it was ok not to pay my bus fare. I was so embarrassed that day.

Some years back I was very hard up and out of work. I got a new job, but was so hard up for cash I couldn't afford the bus fare every day until i got paid, so I used to walk. Walking to work was easy - it was about 4 miles but downhill all the way. Walking home FROM work was a nuisance, because it was UP hill all the way. The bottom line is that I guess the only thing you can do in such situations is to walk. The advantage is that I got plenty of excercise!

Quite a few times at university I forgot my wallet and so I didnt have any tokens to pay my fare. It is quite annoying that I sometimes forget to bring my wallet. I have to call someone from my family to drive me home which is sometimes out of their way. But what I do now is that I keep some extras in my backpack just in case I forget, that way I can always go home.
