If something is on tv LIVE on the east coast, is it live on the west coast, just three hours earlier in the day, or do they just watch it not live? So if regis is on here in new jersey at 9am, would it be on at 6am in california? Or do they watch it taped? Thanks for answering, I thought they watched it taped, and my husband said live, so I wanted toknow!

They definitely watch it taped! And I know when they do their trivia contest, they sometimes call West Coasters at 6 AM and get them on the line.

Oh- I should add that other shows, like the Oscars, are really on at 5 PM in Cali if it's 8 PM here. But for those morning shows I am sure it is taoed-- even Good Morning America has a delayed or taped version for the West Coast.

Well, there was this episode on Will and Grace that was LIVE on both east and west coast. I think they did two versions of the episode. I've downloaded these two versions and I knew it was live because there were differences. Some of the actors forget their lines, some laughs uncontrollably. It was nice.

I live in Singapore. When the OSCARS was aired not too long ago, they actually had it live via satelite. Real time. That means while it was 8pm in America it is aired at about 9am in Singapore (due to the time difference). Not because it was taped. So when you mention LIVE, did you take into consideration the time lapse? - Lyn

Well, it depends on what you are watching. I know that during football season games that start at 1:00 pm on the east coast are shown at 10:00 am here on the west coast(I hate getting up that early in the morning-I work nights). I do believe some shows might be taped but I believe sports are always live

i cant say that much but i think its not true i think they show the recording while it they display live i mean some time its live and sometime its recorded they show as a live
