Trillian and MSN

I've been using trillian (the free version) for months now, and I love it b/c I can chat with MSN, Yahoo, AOL and ICQ friends all with one tool. However MSN only works on and off and I wonder if anyone else has this problem. 50% of the time trillian will open and connect to everything just fine, and 50% of the time it will connect to everything except MSN and say "login to MSN failed". I know it's not a password problem since it does connect some of the time, but it is really frustrating b/c I have some friends that only use MSN and I can't get connected (Arg). Anyone else have this issue? Any solutions?

I use Trillian Pro and I have had the occasional problem with MSN but it does seem to connect better to MSN that messenger ever does. I really can't account for it especially as I have three different MSN accounts and sometimes can only connect to one out of three if I use Live Messenger, but all three is using Trillian

Hmmm, I wonder if trillian pro works better for MSN. I haven't opted to pay for it yet since so far it works pretty good for my purposes.

i also use trillian, and i like it much more than AIm and MSN msger. Sometimes after i restart my router, i cant connect to msn, but i can to AIM. after a while, if i try to connct to msn, it connects. generally i just wait to try to connect again. I would advise to restart your router(if you use one) and then restart your computer. generally that solves the problem for me

Yeah part of the problem may be that I rarely restart my computer, I just put it to sleep and wake it up but it never gets refreshed. I will try that!

I also love trillian, although I rarely use MSN. I use the free version and when I try to log into MSN has generally been after restarting my computer. Since I'm not having the problems you are, and have been logging in after a restart, that could easily be your problem.
