I prefer to stick to the chemicals, then I know I will get everything removed. :-)

To shine brass spoons and forks,we can't use brasso because of the harmful chemical.Soak a small quantity of tamarind in a bowl of water for a while. When turned soft, squeeze the tamarind to make a smooth pulp.Rub it on the spoon and forks.Wash them with water.Your cutlery will shine bright and is safe to eat with.

It's the name of a tropical tree and the sour fruit it yields.
Pardon me if it's not available in your country.Ok,I have an idea. You can get it in any of the Indian stores there.I was amazed to find even the rare Indian items in Indian stores in SanFrancisco,LA,and the states on the east coast(USA).

In a lot of cases, vinegar is a good cleaner of stuff. I also use soda and vinegar in my drain in the kitchen sink to clean out the pipes. It really works. Just put about a l/4 cup of soda down in the drain and pour white vinegar over this and it will bubble out all the bad stuff in the drain and make it smell fresh.

Hi again Ruby thanks for mentioning vinegar..I remember some old nuns always put vinegar in the hot water they had us wash the tables with. As you know I just come back from CVS..I got this orange solution that is suppose to clean real well..It was on sale..so it cost 60 cents and it was a big bottle;)+
