there are numerous long held myths surrounding one of the world's favourite food--chocolate. one of the biggest is that eating chocolat makes you fat. WRONG! The truth is no single food can be called "fattening". As always, it is the amount consumed that will determine whether it contributes to body fat.. so let's eat all the chocolates in the world!! hehehe

But didn't you just say in your post that it is always the amount of what you eat that can make you fat? So true, chocolate can make you fat if you eat it in abundance. LOL but as long as anything is eaten in moderation it won't make you fat-that means donuts, fries, corn dogs, cake...the lists can go on forever. Chocolate surely doesn't do anyone's diet any favors.

yeah,, but the point is, some people tend to stay away from chocolates thinking that it will make them fat. it is not "what they eat" but it is " how they eat" that makes them fat! :)

Oh I completely understand what you mean. People who are weight conscious just need to proportion their snacks and sweets better. Cutting them out completely must be completely miserable!

It could possibly make someone fat if they ate too much of it every day and if their metabolism was very slow :) My metabolism is very fast, almost nothing makes me gain weight :(

Any foods taken in moderation cannot make us fat. But there are different levels to which different food items are moderated because they have different caloric densities. As for chocolates, i think we should eat less of it than any other foods since chocolates are very heavy in terms of simple sugar content and chocolates can be considered empty calories. It has very high caloric values yet it is very low in terms of nutritional value. Chocolate can be a very good comfort food but to eat too much of it is just, well, too much...

In any kind of food it is not what you eat but how much. It isn't going to hurt to eat a little bit. Just don't go hog wild and eat lots and lots of it. I eat chocolate and eat it in moderation. It is a shame that chocolate has had this said about it. This food is getting a bum rap and that is a crying shame. And most people will tell you that eating food and exercise go hand in hand.

hahaha.. are you sure? i think eating chocolate might not be fattening..but.. it is a sweet junk foood.. and it will definitely contribute to diebetes.. gosh.. it's still dangerous right? don't take things easily.. just because it won't make you fat.. doesn't mean it will make you healthy either.. isn't that true? so.. don't ever think of eating all the chocolates in the world.. haha.. eat lesser sweet things.. and you won't spoil your teeths.. and you won't get diebetes.. :P
