What made you smile today?

The world would be a much happier place if we all smiled more, and looked at the positive things in our lives instead of concentrating on the negative. So I thought I would start a thread where we could talk about the little things that have cheered up our own individual days. The don't have to be big things - maybe the fact the sun was shining when you woke up, or perhaps a word from your child or grandchild, - but if it made you happy why not share it with us here?
For me - what made me smile today ? Well I am a great cat lover as some of you know. I already have 5 much loved and pampered cats, and over the past months I have also been feeding a stray who lives in the woods near my house. He is old, in very bad condition, definately in need of some kind of Vetinerary attention, but so terrified of people that he wouldn't come anywhere near me - just ate the food that I left out when there was no one else around, and then went away again. But lately he has taken to sitting on my garage roof, and today, for the first time ever, he jumped down onto my garden wall and let me stroke the top of his head. It was only for a moment - but it was a start - so that made me smile:-)) How about you? What made you happy today

Well.. I had to smile when I logged in here after being gone for about a week and saw that my rating was still a blue 10 :) Gave me a bit of an ego boost.
But I had to out and out giggle this morning. My bf and I went over to a friend's place for coffee and she's got the cutest little puppy. This morning my bf had such fun with that little puppy. I just had to laugh at the two of them. My friend got pictures of them..
**hint hint.. if that friend happens to respond to this discussion she can post some of the pix she got of the puppy playing.. LOL..

Oh this is a great thread! Every morning I wake up I have my morning coffee. I have to open the fridge door to get the milk out. As soon as I do, my guinea pigs can hear it. I hear my guinea pigs happily wheeking their "OOOOOHHHH It's morning!" song to mommy because they know morning snack is on its way!
I smile ear to ear as soon as I walk into their room to see all their sweet happy little faces eagerly peeking out at me in anticipation!

Having the house to myself, and appreciating the peace, quiet and stress-free environment, my housemate was away till 2pm, so I got some quality time in, that always makes me smile oh and sigh with relief too. He let you stroke his head today, tomorrow he'll get even friendlier, it's good to hear you've made another fury friend ;0) Happy Easter my good friend x

I agree the world needs more happiness in it, and people need to let the stress out some and smiling and being thankful for you have at this moment is the best way to do that. I smile the first thing I get up for my husband always kisses me and tells me he loves me and that is the best way to start any day.He never misses a day of doing that and that is important. I also smile cause I am able to get out of bed knowing that I am healthy and that there is nothing in this world that I cannot accomplish if i put my mind to it. My four cats meet me in the morning in the bathroom,. they need the water turned on in the tub so they can do there face washing..lol funny but they do..they spoiled wrotten. life is good people just need to be thankful for what they have not what they don't have

Well, several things made me smile today, first my quirky chessy (cheasapeake bay retriever), seeing a lil increase on mylot acct; and getting hired for a new job (haven't been working since the end of January); and receiving helpful info on here about getting my children's books published. I believe it is very important to smile, and even laugh everyday.

Today, the matter that make me happy is I can go holiday. Now, I feel very stress and tension. So, I decide to go holiday. Now, in my plan, I want to go to Kuala Lumpur City Centre, the higest tower in the world. After that I want to see the aquatic marin at there. ANd then I want go to Eye On Malaysia. Before that, today I want to see the air carnival near my house. My house is near the airport, so easy to me to go there. If you want to follow me holiday, lets gooooo. Have a nice day. Im so happy today.

An interesting dream made me laugh this morning.When I was in my dream,I wanted to laugh,however,I couldn't laugh at all .Finally,I laughed ,but my laughter made me wake up earlier .haha Is a funny?

Well it seemed like nothing in my day would be good working open to close at my work but there was one thing. This morning I had to be up by 6:30 to go to work and my boyfriend wakes up around the same time to go to school. He called me at 6:35 and woke me up because he knows that I always forget to turn on my alarm. He told me to have a good day and to make sure I thought about him...and he told me he loved me. I love hearing his voice in the morning when he wakes up he sounds adorable. He definitly knows how to make me smile =)

I'm a usually cheery person so lots of simple little things make me smile everyday. Sometimes I smile because a new flower has bloomed or because the sun seems to shine brighter or because the cocoon in the garden has finally turned into a butterfly or simply because of the fact that I'm alive and healthy as well as my family.
Today though, the first thing that really made me smile was the fact that it's easter Sunday. A day for celebration because Jesus Christ lives. Then I became happier because I met a new friend and an old friend sent me a message in Friendster. What really made my day though is the fact that this will be another day of session in myLot which means more additional earnings. LOL!

My life is full of things to smile or laugh at. I have my kids who always put me in giggles. We might argue at times but my husband never fails to make me smile everyday with some of his humorous acts and jokes. I think no matter how difficult our times are we can always get through it with the right perception of things and with a good attitude. We can only choose to react in two ways that is positively or negatively. I guess we should always try to do the first or else will only be sorry. Life is beautiful if we put it that way.

What made me happy today was getting to see pictures of my boyfriend in Afghanistan. We don't get to talk often and when we do he usually just sends a quick email and that's it. So when I had pictures along with this long email about what's been going on, that made me smile.

Only God made me smile,made me happy today and tomorrow and forever,God is my guide it is because the word hates me,but i rejoice because i am not of the word if i am of the word the word would love me,but because i am chosen out of the world thats why the world hates me.Only God made me smile,happy and comfortable.

I stayed inside all day today.
Because its cold out mostly.
LOve is good I think, whatever kind, whatever happens.
Sometimes its hard to remember that, jealousy and cravings and all that.

hmmm today what made me smile , so she is my sweet and little, cute younger sister. she is only 4 years old and when i was late for my university she polished my shoes, so that's why i smiled today bcoz she is a really cute and caring baby.
