We are both qualified teachers and really think our kids would be better off being taught at home, anyone done this? Anyone got any tips?

Hi, I don't have any knowledge of home schooling, but would just be worried about the children socialising? I would imagine that your children would be more likely better off with one on one tuition but because of the lack of interaction with lots of other kids do you think this might affect them? Brightest Blessings my friend!

my big problem has been this very point. However one of the earlier responders made the great point about networking with other parents and children doing the same things. I think this should get rid of the proble of the kids being socialy isolated blessed be

I have never done this but the way things are going today I think it is better but will you be aloud to do that though? I hope so as I think they are safer that way with everything that goes on at the Schools today

both my two have come home with the most apauling stories of bullying that they have witnessed. When we questioned the school they said it wasnt their problem but was something we were doing wrong at home, they even went as far as to say we should get in touch with a psychologist to find out why the kids had started lying in this way. We were both furious, niether of the kids tell lies. I really think the time is right to get them out. We are both qualified teachers and i think we can do it blessed be

I homeschooled two of my kids and the best advice I can think to give is to relax with the process. If you're a teacher, you know how much of the work kids have to do is busy work - pointless as far as learning goes. Let your kids direct themselves at least part of the time or in some subjects and you will be amazed at where their minds go. It will take a little detoxing for both you and your kids, but keep on keeping on and you'll see results worth it.

thank you so much for your reply. Yes im sure you are right. We both feel our children are being held back at school and I, for one do not like some of the things that are being done to the minds of our children. Blessed be
