Have you ever been asked if your kids were really yours?

I get asked the most ignorant question all of the time, "Are those your kids" or "Is she or he yours?" How ignorant can people be, really?
When my oldest daughter got tubes put in her ears at about 2yrs old, I actually had a nurse refuse to give her to me until I provided proof that she was mine. My kids have blonde hair and blue or green eyes. So, of course....they are not mine right, they must be adopted right???? I get so furious with ignorance! Do people actually realize how rude they are or don't they even care? Sometimes I wonder.
Anyone else with a story?

DH and I both have dark hair/eyes, and our son has blonde hair and blue eyes, gotta love genetics! I am very light skinned, but my hubby isn't. I've had people and even some friends/family ask if my husband is the father, it just makes me angry! I've been with him and only him since 2001. My son was born in 2005.
What was funny recently is was when I was out in town with my sister. She has 2 kids that are light like my son and a stepdaughter who has my coloring. Everyone thought she was the mother of my son and her kids, while they thought the stepdaughter was mine. I think people are just rude or they are so stupid that they can't keep thoughts in their head without blurting out dumb comments.

No, but I was asked if i was there older sister. I'm 20 and look 16. I got so upset.
