Nugent Education Graffiti Artists have extensive experience in delivering workshops and programmes within schools, colleges, galleries and a variety of community settings. All artists are CRB checked, and the company has public liability insurance for up to 5 million pounds. Graffiti Art workshops allow participants the opportunity to express themselves through a contemporary art-form; one that is becoming increasingly popular. One issue always addressed is appropriacy (where and when it is or is not appropriate to use Graffiti Art). This is an expressive and empowering Art-Form that incorporates transferable skills that can be utilized in other areas both within and outside of Art. Specialized skills include; Wall Productions, Throw-Ups, Tag Styles, End-to-End Burners and numerous other forms. Health and Safety issues are paramount when working with spray paints, stencils and other tools of Graffiti Art. A risk assessment is always carried out, and all participants and supporting staff are briefed with regards to these issues before the commencement of a workshop. Participants are guided through the process at all times, by the workshop artists, so that correct use of equipment is ensured. Nugent Education have successfully designed and delivered Graffiti Arts workshops and programmes with numerous schools and organizations including; Oldershaw High School (Wirral), New Start at St Helens Chamber and Halton Libraries, amongst others. “Participants gained confidence in drawing…realizing graffiti is art and not vandalism” - Feedback from ‘New Start’ Programme.
