During war time...Is man more vulnerable today than he was 60 years ago?

I was watching an old movie last night...
"The Dam Busters"
It was the story where an Englisman had to design a new bomb which would skip on water in order to demolish some huge dams in Germany.
Today... I cannot think of any man's made structure who could resist a bombing attack.
It seem that our technology has made everything to protect the lives of the military personal... while inflicting the maximum damage to civilian life.
What do you think?

NO I do not think that man is more vulnerable today than he was 60 years ago, with the technology that is available today I do not think that this is possible. But it is amazing what people did do to protect themselves and their countries many years ago.
