Did you know that how much Columbus spent on his journey to the new world -that finally found the Northern America- is far less that the money you spend on buying a new car.

Well then that is quite the opposite of being cheap. Cheap would be if we DIDN'T want to spend more. Did you account for inflation? I'm sure it's gone up quite a bit over all those years.

Well I guess the inflation is already counted because the only currency they used at that time is gold. So we just need ho many kilos of gold they used and then just exchange it with today's rate..

It might be pretty expensive at Columbus time... but maybe if you compute it.. it might be very very expensive...

If estimated with price of gold as you mentioned above it can be accurate but everything seems to be cheap in the old times, still very few people could have afforded it back then.. So how much exactly did he spend to find America?

when there is slave labor involved I guess everything is cheap. Don't forget the genocide.... as forthe car, I guess it depends on what kind of car you get. If I asked the queen of spain for a car....
