Anyone suffering from bad acid reflux?

I remember having it with my two previous pregnancies but I don't remember it being this bad! It has started a few days ago and it's to the point where I want to throw up! And I'm only 17 weeks (18 on monday!) Any suggestions on what I can take? I took tums before, but I was wondering if there is anything better out there.

I had it so bad when I was pregnant and I used to gobble Tums. They didn't help much! I still get it from time to time now and what really does the job for me is Pepcid AC. I think it is supposed to last for 12 hours. Better check with your doc though and make sure it is ok to take in your condition?

tums works once in a while, but at night it doesn't. I'm using Pepcid AC for now and at least I'm able to sleep now. My doc gave me a sheet of medicines I can take and pepcid is on it. Thanks for commenting.

I have chronic acid refulx and I take zantac twice a day and have almost zero problems with it now. I'm not sure if it's safe to take while pregnant, so you might want to check with your doctor first. Hope that helps.
