My sister is overweightbecause she consumes too muchfood. Now she want to become thin. Some friend advise bher to watch what she eats and making sure it is low calorie, low fat and healthy. She tries it but the result is not remarkable(successfull). So she thinks that she has to combine that method with the use of diet supplements but we heard that some of these supplements are dangerous and could cause cancer, kidney failure, liver disease or death. What doyou think she needs to success her lost of weight?

There is nothing magical about loosing weight. She needs to consume fewer calories than her body uses and thats it. The best way to do this is to eat a healthy, balanced diet, and to excercise more. Typicaly an average women trying to lose 2lb a week needs to east 1100 calories a day, where no more than 30% of that comes from fat. if she excercises a lot she can eat a little bit more, but its really about balance. Pills do not work. A sensible diet and excercise do! Try taking her for a 20 minute walk every evening whilst dinner cooks. That will help.

I have two suggestions in mind. One is to eat in small quantities. It is okay even if we are not really full. We don't know it but we train our stomach to take in as much or as little food. For my case, I always eat small servings so my weight stays the same. There was a time that I started eating bigger servings and I noticed I gained weight. Next suggestion is to eat until you feel like you are full but as much as possible there should be no snacks in between meals. Maybe just coffee or tea will do.

Well she have to balance her diet in order to control her weight it isnt about not eating at all,the balance diet is eat food with low calories, stop eating sweets, chocolates, cakes, shakes and start eating fruits to make it up for the taste of sweetness, stop eating too much chicken/beef eat fish and vegetables, and the most important thing exercise and running if she can spare just one hour for routine exercise and jogging she can see the amazing results,i dont think supplements will give any great results rather they do carry some severe side effects so better going on with the natural way rather than loosing it with some artificial things.

dont go for supplements or anything of that sort... a controlled or a low calorie diet would be required with some exercise like jogging or walking around, whichever is suitable at the initial stage, at least thrice a week prolonged exercise would be very helpful!!

Humm, to lost weight you need make eat in right hours... eat a balanced food and with every protein and carb you need in a diet with 2000 cal/day. Other point is exercises, is a very important part for lost weight. You need make aerobic exercises, because this exercises burn calories. Exercises like: running, step, bodyjump, bicycle, swiming. You will see the results in 2 or 3 months. And finally, the part most important! BE HAPPY!!! =D

She should start to eat smaller portions and not deprive herself of anything she wants. Portion size is the key. Once she sees herself starting to lose weight gradually, she will become motivated to exercise and speed up the process. Unless she is going to go to the doctor and get prescription diet pills that are like speed, diet pills don't work. I have tried all of them and just can't seem to lose an ounce. The best thing is to get moving.

Also tell her to drink a glass of water before each meal so that she will start to feel full faster. I read a diet plan that said you should drink a glass before and after meals. The glass after supposedly will speed up transit time and decrease absorption. I try to drink a glass immediately upon waking up. At work I have my bottle of water with me at all times. When it is empty I fill it right away. I am probably drinking 5 quarts a day. The crystal light type drink mix singles make it much easier to get all the water you need with a great flavor.

I think it should not be too difficult to anybody to bring down the body weight. The only two things have to cared to do this. One is take cotrolled diet with little below needed callories and take a regular exercise like a long walk is enough to bring down your weight by 10Kgs in 3 months time span. Wish you a good health and a slim body.

I am overweight myself. And from what I have been told you need to combine a healthy diet with exercise. And you have to burn more calories a day than you consume in order to lose weight effectively. You need to build muscle mass and do aerobic activitiy to bring your heart rate up. Both things will increase your metabolism so you will burn your food/calories more effectively. Supplements only work while you are taking them, once you stop, so do they, and that's if they even work in the first place. Tell your sister to get off her butt and move it if she is serious about losing weight.

You have to change your lifestyle you just can diet and then go back to regular life cause you will gain back.. Healthy eating in sensible moderation along with physical exercise for life is the key to lose weight and keep it off and become healthy. And if you sister is not very active she can start off slow with short walks and gradually work her way into other more exerting activitys.

Change your diet, there are some foods that actually make you eat more. And cut way back on eating out. Most fast foods seem to always have high levels of fat. Excercise will do the rest, you don't have to over do it, and to be realistic few people like to vigoursly workout, especially when you have important things to do. But on the weekends or your days off or even before work or school, you can easily get into the habit of going for a brisk walk. Maybe about 30 minutes, an hour would be good. And what ever excercise you choose to do, I find that if by the end if i'm sweating it's working. Your body is releasing excess water and is burning calories, which is the main goal in loosing weight.

The best possible is to eat healthy. Excersise according to how much you weight.. begining slow and building a steady course. Then you make sure to eat a smaller amount of calories, than the amount you are burning off. Also, stay completely away from junk food, and high saturated fatty foods.. and saturated suga too... Also drink plenty of water.. to loose that water weight. Also, find an active hobby.. something that will keep you from consuming more edible substances. Something that will teach you metabolism to increase.

I think many here have already said it in one way or another. Weightloss is not easy and will take some effort. Besides eating better, she is going to have to get some regular exercise into her day. It is good that you are so supportive and want her to do well, having a support network will definitely benefit her efforts. I wish her luck !

first of all dont get worried about it.well this had been the case with many people i have met.and they have successfully overcomed this problem.i think your sister would not do well with her diet,so she needs a more of a physical work.you dint mention her age.if shez young then i would suggest her to start jog.jog as much as she could do but she should increase the distance of jogging in yhe course of time.if she finds her body in sweat after the exercise, then i think she would be rewarded fir it.make sure if she cant run then she should walk until she gets exhausted.after jogging or walking make sure she drinks a very little hot glass of water with two lemons stirred in it.keep this on for at least a month.she should also stop eating oil,fried.sweet,rice.i think that has really worked for some guys.
