what the star with some number indicates on mylot ?

I often notice that there is a star with different colour and a different number between 1 to 9 on the member's who respond to my discussion and my friends. Do you know what is it ?

You have a silver one too! They are your reputation here, 1 is lower, and 10 is the highest. I didn't know what that meant either at first so I started a post and asked.
