I have fallen for the hype myself in the past and tried to "create a seperate income stream." with the survey networks like Lightspeed and survey spot. Other than winnning one of the contests for a $500 prize I have not earned over $100 from any one of the multiple survey sites that I joined. Have you tried the survey income only to find that you weren't really makiing much of anything?

it is possible, i make about 300 a month by doing survys, it all depends on which companies you have joined and how much surveys you get and complete, it's really worth it if you spend a lot of time on the internet and can spend 15minutes to do a survey.

Some people say they make money with surveys. You could check out similar discussions on Mylot. Personally I have not made any money and I am not joining new sites. I find the questions that you have to answer to join a site really intrusive lately. The suvey companies build a complete profile of you based on age, income, interests and health issues. Then they send you surveys that correspond to your profile. I got a little scared since I don't know where all this personal information is kept or if it could fall into the wrong hands. You did way better than I.

yes i have joined multiple survey companies that allow canadians. i had read a lot from those pay-to-access a large list of survey companies that you could make $5 to $75 per hour taking surveys and i thought it would be exciting even if i didnt make that much. Right now, i am receiving a few surveys a day and a lot of them are sweepstakes, some are points and some are cash. the cash ones i dont always qualify for them either. sometimes i am tempted to lie so that i will qualify but its hard to know what the survey companies want from you.
It is pretty cool to win a $500 prize. i havent had that kind of luck yet. I do feel like i am not making much with surveys but i believe it will start to pick up and i will make more per month after a few months.
