In just the last 100 years technology and improvements built upon the tech of the day, peoples entire way of living has completely changed. We have the radio, which most people don't even listen to anymore because there are too many commercials for their liking. What do you think someone in 1907 would think of a cd player and the cd's that go in it? The reproduction of sounds at such high fidelity.
We have the internet, which has been built and lauched upon the public conciousness in just the last 20 years. Look what a force it has become! Most people not only use a computer at work but also cellular phones, PDA's, notebooks are now digital instead of spiral bound and college ruled. There are so many mind boggling advancements and improvements to the way people work, get around, entertain themselves and their families, the way we raise our families, the way that we care for our sick and aging people, the implements that are available to us at reasonable prices that make our world "bearable" today and occassion no commentary or even notice were undreamed of even 50 years ago. Isn't it amazing how quickly technology is advancing along now?

Technology is a sign of a good economy . these technologies help us in our day to day lives. it makes our life easier.just think of text messages it can be send in about 10sec, but before telegrams takes about a week to be received and that is the only way to send an important messages. but now there is internet, email, and Voice over IP it made communication mush easier and affordable!

Actually telegraph was the equivalent of text messaging. The only way that it ook a week is if you lived a ways out of town and the message had to be delivered by mail to the recipient after the message arrived at the telegraph office. Nowadays we have a whole lot of modern conveniences that have absolutely nothing to do with communication. Like electric can openers hand held mixers, steam irons that know better than to burn your clothes, automobiles that go faster and faster, planes that go faster, trains that move at the speed of a speeding bullet, etc. Technology is what has allowed mankind to thrive throughout history. The more innovative we have become the more our societies have evolved.

Technology,
Yes I agree that it's really amazing what we got going on in the world as far as technology today but on the down side, while at times we feel that we are connecting with one another, in other ways it's taking us further apart. It seems that we are building a world where machines can do just about anything. We'd better be careful that we don't build something that wind up destroying all of us.
