When I was growing up, the only forms of entertainment that we were exposed to were radio, cinema and comics. Although I loved all of them, comics were, and still are the best way that I can really indulge myself. Radio is fascinating in that it is totaly dependant on sound alone to bring the "pictures" to life. Comics have the pictures, but are silent. Cinema on the other hand have both pictures and sound. There are similarities between comics and cinema, both tell stories in words and pictures. With comics you have complete control of the story, should you forget something or not completely understand a part of the plot, you can always turn back the page, something that you cannot do in a cinema. In the old days the big names in comic books were DELL, GOLDKEY AND HARVEY, to name a few. DELL had o slogan on their cover which stated that "DELL COMICS ARE GOOD COMICS" I will furthur discuss DELL and other comics in my next post from the JUNGLE
