How do you celebrate the renewal of spring?

Here in Texas, many christians celebrate "Easter" instead of just celebrating the renewal of our land by the change of seasons. They usually get nice new clothes to wear to a church service, where the pastor/minister/priest talks about how Jesus rose from the dead after being crucified. Then they go to their homes, or to another family member's home, and eat a feast! Many people here eat ham, and I know in my family we love to also have sweet potatoes, lots of green vegetables (usually broccoli with cheese sauce and a nice salad), and of course fresh yeast rolls. Then the children take their easter baskets (which they found in the morning before church, full of candy shaped like eggs and rabbits) and hunt around for dyed eggs. The children are told that the "Easter Bunny" came in the night and brought the treat-filled baskets. Sometimes the kids dye chicken eggs bright colors first, and then an adult hides them so they kids can find them.
The eggs/rabbits part doesn't really make sense with the whole Jesus-rising-from-the-dead bit, but no one seems to mind. How do you celebrate springtime or Easter in your country or state? Or even in your family? Do you have a parade? Do you also eat a feast? If so, what do you eat? I hope we all learn something new!

We celebrate the same as you do. Going to church having a Easter dinner and the kids getting Easter baskets full of candy and colored eggs from the easter bunny. We do not have a parade.

I remember as a kid eating egg salad for many days after Easter! Egg salad and ham sandwiches, lol.
