Hunter's Carribean Chicken Soup

1 pound chicken, cooked and shredded or diced 1 16 ounce package of egg noodles 3 large carrots, sliced 1 small onion chopped fine 4-5 potatoes, peeled and diced 2 tsp. italian seasoning 1 tsp. each paprika, garlic powder, and chili powder Salt and Pepper to taste Cook chicken and carrots, and shred chicken into bite sized pieces. Add potatoes and onions and continue cooking in chicken broth until tender. Add noodles and continue cooking until done. Add seasonings, cook for an additional 10 minutes on low. Serve with cornbread or crackers.

that sounds like the soup i make everytime i roast a chicken...i use the leftovers and make soup...i didnt know it had a name..i use minced garlic instead of powder though and i make homemade noodles...my husband loves it in his lunch at work..great break from sandwiches....keep on sharing the recipes i'm getting some great ideas

Thank you for this recipe. I am gathering recipes for my hubby's new job if he gets it. I collect the things that will be good for him and fill him for lunches. I have added this one to my Notepad and will think of you when preparing it. Thanks so much for sharing it here at Mylot.

you are welcome. I loved it the first time I made it. It was one of those recipes where my future son in law was bored, and in the kitchen. He took his mother's potato soup recipe and started adding stuff to it. He happened to be watching Pirates of the Carribean while he was making it...so it became "Carribean Chicken Soup."
