Can linkin park the best band we have heard so far?Any competetors?

yes i really do agree with you shubham.it is the best band that has ever formed and also which has the best musician.their camaraderie is also one of the best in the entertainment industry.i dont think they can be the best band because they already are the best band in the music history.i just love them but some 2 months before i was on a setback when i heard the rumours that chester and mike shinoda have broken up but it was just a rumour.i dont think linkin park have any competetors coz they are the best in d business but one of the upcoming band are the rappers eminem and akon.they r the only ones who could pose a competition to linkin park.

Linkin Park was one of my favourite bands sometime back, and i was such a fan that when i was an active wapper, i even made a wapsite for them (http://linkinparkcentral.mcommunity.biz). but you cant say that they're the best, because there are many good bands out there that are better than LP. LP is good alright, but it is not a proper rock band.. and talking about the lyrics, they are good and poignant, but its always something about chester being caught in the undertow or something else, you know.. its not that bad, but, when it is a bunch of married adults singing it, you know... but hey, I still love some LP songs, and 'Numb' is still a favourite of mine!!

I can't agree with you any more.Their voice let know the soul of Rock&Roll.I like them very much.Only one band can compete with them,that's SHIN --a Rock&Roll band in Taiwan,China.

What exactly did Linkin Park do that no other band could do? Because I know of several bands that are better than Linkin Park.

There are many HIp Hop, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal bands and Linkin Park is a mixture of it.Their beats are avesome but the main fact and the problem of their band is the vocal of chester bennington, It is not very much good regarding their band genre. But still, Chester's voice when combines with Mike's voice they both rule the show.And also their bassing its simply uncomparable. Bands like: Limp Bizkit, Metallica, Korn can match-up With Linkin Park ;) but still LP RULEZZZZZZZ!

I agree their sound is unique but I don't think they did something that no other band could do. There's still a lot of bands out there that is much matured and creative than they are when it comes to musicality. But I must admit I'm a fan of Linkin Park. I already saw their new video on MTV taken from their new album Minutes To Midnight and I think their new sound is really different compared to the sound of their last records.
