Was is good, bad, OK or something in between? I labored for 52 hours after being 3 weeks overdue! Was a terrible time! Had a C-Section. What about you?

It's sad to say, but I don't remember anything good about my pregnancy. I was miserable the entire time and was on bed rest from the first month. I was huge too. My daughter was born without an esophagus, so she didn't swallow any of the amniotic fluid that was in me...so I just got bigger and bigger. So many people thought that I was having twins or triplets when I was only 7 months along! Finally, I was induced 1 week early because I was already 4 centimeters dialated and the birth....OMG...it was bad. My daughter broke her shoulder blade, I had to have stitches and lost alot of blood...and then I didn't see her again for 3 days because she was sent to the Children's Hospital for surery about 9 hours after birth to make her an esophagus. I had to stay in my hospital because I'd lost so much blood. It was all just BAD.

Oh yes mick...she's fine now. She had to have another surgery when she was 1 year old because the esophagus they made her was narrowing because she was lengthening:)and she was choking on everything she ate...even applesauce! They did a balloon thing to stretch it out and she's 4 now and you'd never know all the problems she had. She has a very long scar across her back and a circle scar where they had to collapse her lung, but otherwise, you'd never know it. She's a crazy toddler!!! Thank goodness. I guess I'll have more if it's intended, if you know what I mean, but we won't try again. The Dr. told me after I had my daughter that I could never have another natural delivery....it would have to be C section which is fine by me. We'll see I guess. If I get prego again, I surely won't be upset about it. Even though I had so much trouble, I would do it all over again in a minute...she's so great. The only regret I have is not having her sooner. Thanks for reading my response!!

I was put in the hospital two weeks before I was due because I had toxcemia, my blood pressure was extremely high and I was so swollen I was pitting. They induced me at 9 p.m. that night on Friday night and I finally had her at 2 am. on Sunday night or Monday morning if you will! I remember hemroids being so bad I couldn't sit down, I remember feeling like my skin was stretching out of place on every part of my body and beign scared that I wasn't ready to be a mom. Then it was all over and I had a beautiful baby girl!

mine was good for the first 8 months.. but then my last month i was at the hospital 3 times a week.. plus i was constantly calling them over the stupidest reasons, per their order. they didnt completly diagnose me with pre eclampcia, but they did diagnose me with hypertention. i was induced the day after my due date with a 24 hour labor. it wasnt bad i have to say. now the worst part is my back constantly hurts because of the epi. i will always remember the nurses knowing me by name, and saying how i should just get a bed in the hospital i was there so much

everything was going along pretty smoothly until i hit 7 1/2 months then i developed pre eclampsia, i gained over 30 pounds just like that, swelled up everywhere the doc put me on bed rest. i started having contractions 2 days before my due date so i went in they said i was progressing nicely and would have a baby by the afternoon. about 2 hours later the doctor and like 5 nurses came in and said we have to do an emergency c-section because the baby was not getting enough oxygen, they got me ready, i was terrified and crying the whole way into the ER, people told me i could sue the doctor for not taking the proper precautions for my pre eclampsia (my blood pressure got sky high too) and because he also broke my water right before i was taken into surgery. but my baby is completely healthy she is almost 3 years old now and smart as a whip. :)

My son came out great, but what an exausting pregnancy. I was taking care of my mother full time, as she suffers from ALS and is wheel chair bound. My parents were short staffed, so in the beginning of my pregnancy I worked a min. of 65 hours per week. When I was three months pregnant, my husband had to return to the U.S., and I was left in Denmark with our three year old son. I lived in my parents house, but this was driving me crazy. In August my asthma had gotten so severe, because of all the stress and from then on I had to go on medical leave. When I finally had labor pains, three days before the due date, my asthma had become very severe again, and I took some emergency medicine. This turned out to be a bad idea, as this stopped my contractions. The next day I gave birth to my wonderful son, and this is my very favorite part of my second pregnancy, the point where I could hold him in my arms.

Yes as soon as the baby came out, the asthma went back to normal. I am still going to have two babies more though - when I have forgotten about the pregnancy. I sure wish someone would have told me about the interaction between astma medication and labor contractions. I make sure to tell every woman I know, who has asthma.

I am pregnant now, so not sure if I count this one or the last one. So i'll just use the last one. It was OK mostly. Until the end I was pretty comfortable and not very sick or anything. I labored about 10 days before my due date, and was in labor about 4 hours total. Not too bad, my only complain was the epidural wearing off when it was time to push.

I loved being pregnant for the most part. The last month is hard because you are so big and it can be so uncomfortable not to mention you are so tired. Just giving birth to my kids was the best moments in my life. I would do it all over again no question. I know some people have bad memories and it really is too bad.

My last pregnancy(second)one was easier than the first since I was induced with my first and was in pain because of being induced. My second one I had a epidural(I had on with the first one too)Plus I Knew what to expect the second time around and I had my daughter within 4 hours. It didnt hurt as much.I agree when aome people say the second tome around is easier.Because the second time around you know what to expect.

The first trimester was a nightmare, I was always sick and I would fall asleep in mid sentence. I couldn't get anything done. Once I got through that, it was fairly normal. The delivery was a breeze, I gave birth with a few pushes, only 12 hours after my first contraction. He also came on his due date, I went into labor naturally. I know, I'm a witch lol, it makes some mamas angry but it was easy. I actually told the nurses that I could do that again lol.

when i delivered my daughter, i was more lucky than you because i was only in labor for almost 24 hours. my doctor said that i may be undergoing c-section but fortunately, i delivered my baby by normal delivery.

My last pregnancy was better than the first two. I didn't have that much complications as I did with the first two. I did have a csection due to the fact that my first two were delievered by emergency csection so they took my last one a week early so I didnt' expereince any kind of labor pains. It was the csection that I had the problem with. I bled to much and they almost had to give me a hysterecotomy... if I had bled for another five mins they would have.

One plus to it would be that you didn't have to go into labor with this one. I am thrilled that I had a hysterectomy! Wonderful thing not having the monthly! lol Thank you for your response!

My first & only pregnancy was about 10 months ago, i had no morning sickness thankfully & the worst part of the whole things was constantly waking up at all hours, screaming in agony from cramps in my calves! That didn't happen until late in the pregnancy though thankfully! My daughter's due date was June 15th but she came out via C Section on the 6th & i was then told she was over cooked & could have come out sooner (i had asked for sooner but they refused). Other than that - everything was pretty good & i'm looking forward to doing it again but maybe not trying again until after my daughter is at least 1 - 1 1/2!

I was mean! lol I was really mean! This last pregnancy was odd. I was just uncomfortable from 3 months on and I was so mad all the time. It would take very little to send me off (yes, feel very bad for my husband! lol). Everyone has told me it was just because it was my second pregnancy. My first pregnancy was great! Iloved every minute of it.
