what are sine crafty ideas for tee shirts

I have some white tee shirt, and I would like to jazz them up a little bit. Anyone have ideas to decorate tee shirts?

I have considered tie-dyeing. I have a friend who does this as a side job, and has a waiting list of people who want different patterns. He has a portfolio of the different patterns and colors he can use. I think they sell kits at wal-mart if you are interested in doing this.
