i do agree with you, i prefer puerto galera over the other beaches especially from boracay, much cleaner, not populated like galera and there's no algae..

I've been to Puerto Galera 4 times in the last 3 years already and i'm delighted everytime i go there. The place is nice with great activities (banana boat and snorkeling). What i just don't like about it is how high the rates are! even a mineral water can cost 60 pesos! But, still i love puerto! it's easy on the budget and travel time is okay for a weekend stay. =)

yep. puerto galera is nice. if your going for a low budget, with a wild beach night life, then puerto is the way to go. there are lots of things to do there: go drink near the shore, pig out with lotsa foods taht are actually cheap, shop for souvenirs, water rides like banana boat and fly fish, go dance in bars. galera has so many to offer. and since it is near manila, you need not bother bout the fare and how to get there. just ride a bus to batangas pier (2-3 hours depending on the traffic), and a banca/ boat to galera which is another 45 minutes. not bad if your actually planning for another different beach experience.

I agree. My friend and I went there before the Holy Week started (to avoid the large crowds). We stayed at White Beach and it was so beautiful. When we went for a dip in the middle of noontime heat, the water was very cool and refreshing. The food is ok (and affordable, too); a lot of restaurants line the beachfront so it's just a matter of choosing where to eat.
