Are cell phones a waiste of money?

I think cell phones are a waiste of money. Seriously I mean all kids use them for is Text messaging. If its that important just call them or talk to them on the computer. so what do you think of this?

I don't think cell phones are a waste of money. Yes people do text a lot, but places like Verizon have free texting to Verizon customers. Most if not all of the people I text have Verizon so it is free for me.

nt atall cell arent a waste of money for me.whats the harm in using text msging.its upto us v want to use it or nt
nobody is forcing us to use tht service.it the easiest way of communications.its definately nt a waste of money..
