In an earlier discussion I mentioned that I had cleared all the cobwebs away. Well, it seems I missed some and as I type there is a blowfly (disgusting things) caught in a web above my head. He has been pathetically buzzing but it's stopped now. That took less than 3 minutes. WooHoo! Did you know that the daddy-long-legs is the most venomous spider we are likely to encounter? Fortunately for us their mouth (or whatever) is too small to be able to envenomate us. These two dudes above me have certainly done a number on this fly. He's quiet now and they are wrapping him in his shroud. Awww! They'll probably lay eggs in there as well so the baby spiders can have some refreshment as they hatch. Isn't nature wonderful?? I hate flies.

I hate flies too. Don't you think you should let the spiders tickle you instead. You can have a wider grin than the one in your avatar, LOL!!! Just talk with them. They like some company too. :)

I often do talk to spiders. If I have a big one around, like a huntsman, I name him and talk to him. I don't have a problem with spiders. If they worry me inside I put them outside. Luckily for me I've never encountered a nasty one, not up too close anyway. My Dad's place has lots of trapdoors. I used to close the door so the spider could not get back in...then I thought that was a bit mean so I don't do it now.

Definitely not bored...fascinated and amused. I'll take this opportunity to say that the fly has disappeared and the spiders have grown and keep laughing and dancing.

Did you ever see the old classic movie, "THE FLY" starring Boris Karloff? Near the end, a human who has accidently been transformed into a fly with an itsy bitsy teeny tiny human head gets caught in a spider's web. As the spider approaches its victim you can hear a very high squeeky voice pleading, "HELP ME!, HELP ME!". Now, doesn't that make you feel some of the pain and horror of that poor fly? No? Good for you! Flies all deserve to DIE! P.S. My granny always said the best time to find and remove spider webs is in the evening when you have on your fancy modern electric lights. They make the webs shine and stand out so they are easy to find and remove.

I hate both files and spider, but unfortunately I can always see them in my home. It is getting better now for the fly problem as the winter is approaching and it is getting colder now, flies do not fly around as in the summer. But spider problems will exist all year long,I will always see some cobwebs at the corners of the wall in my room, they will appear few days later again even i cleared before, and I think spiders are quite disgusting even they eat the flies up.

I have heard that about the daddy-long-legs. Lucky for us they have some small mouths. I need to be cleaning the winter cobwebs away also. I cannot stand flies and with chicken pens and dogs pens of my husbands family all around flies and rats drives us crazy all summer. I must say though I can stand a fly more then a spider because they creep me out alot. Well I let you get back to your spider watching and I'll get to my web cleaning.
