Have you watched Taiyou no Uta? It's a jap movie about a girl who have an incurable illness: she's allergic to the sun, and once she's exposed to it, she will die. YUI stars as Kaoru Amane, the sick girl gifted with a talent in music... YUI's songs in this movie are so beautiful. If you're a fan of YUI, you might want to watch this movie.^^,

I've watched this movie some time ago. It's good, including the soundtrack. YUI's songs are beautiful and her acting was great too. My friends and I had fun laughing at the lead guy in the movie. I actually have no idea who he is. He looks a little funny. But, all in all, the movie is great!

YUP! Definitely watched this movie. I like it more than the drama version, maybe because of YUI. Also, the character fits YUI most. I love goodbye days :)

I'm glad I found a discussion about YUI! I've watched this movie a month ago and it made me shed some tears...which rarely happens, by the way. I don't want to be a spoiler and tell everything right here. But anyway, kudos to the director and writer for making a movie about such a disease. Personally, I didn't even know that a disease like that existed (Maybe I should go out and learn more). However, the movie has too many fillers and awkward moments..something that's very common in Japanese movies and dramas. I do hope that someday, that cliche in every J-dorama will be gone. And oh, I forgot to mention...Taiyou no Uta is the reason why I became a fan of YUI! At first, I thought her voice is very typical of jpop singers– the sweet image and the squeaky anime voice. But after watching this flick, I can't help but I admire both the song and the singer!

Songs of the Sun - taiyou no uta
hi aeriadensice! ^__^ i didn't know that Yui is an actress too aside from being a singer! i have only come to know her when i was watching bleach and her song Rolling Star was the OP song. i loved the song that's why i searched for it and "met" Yui. ^__^ at first i thought the one singing it was a young boy but i was surprised when i learned that it was a girl. ^__^;; if this movie is on crunchyroll or youtube, then you have just recommended me another Japanese movie to watch! ^__^

I'd love to watch this movie but I've got no time yet because I'm kind of busy.Eventually I will watch it too.I love the theme song for this movie entitled Goodbye days and never get bored listen to it over and over again because she's a great singer and quite good as a new actor.

I just downloaded the movie complete with English subtitles. (Kind of sad though because the first one that I got to download has Spanish Subs, oh well.) It's so heart-wrenching, and I have never appreciated her song Good-bye Days as much as I do now after watching the movie. Though, a lot of people compare this one with the western movie, A Walk to Remember. I learned a lot from this movie. YUI and Takashi (and the rest of the actors) acting as well as the theme were pretty simple, but, the impact of the movie itself was superb.

I've seen this movie and I thought that it was very touching. Yui was so cute there and did a very good job as Kaoru. It's such an inspiring movie to see how one's life can bring joy, change, and strength to other people. I just wished I saw it with subtitles because I don't speak Japanese. But I understood the movie just the same. The end scene where they were all listening to Goodbye Days and being so blessed by it, that although it was the only thing they had of Kaoru it was enough to make their lives meaningful. All around it was one great movie!!!

yeah i did watch that movie and i feel sad about yui when she die in that movie, but since it should done that way we can just leave it that way, nevertheless it's a very good movie. takashi also plays a very unique character their. they build a good chemistry in that movie. the jdorama version of taiyou no uta was good too... which erika sawajiri is the lead star, she is also very lovely star in that series...
