Almost without fail, these women have come from abusive child hoods. I am no doctor, but I would they are classic cases of adult children of messed up families that had few signs of love or caring. By becoming emotionally attached to the worst losers of society, they feel they can change them and make them what their own father's never were. They will spend their lives trying to cure the emotionally screwed up, because they are searching for something they never had as a child. If they could not fix their father to make him love them, maybe they can fix a convict to make him love them.
