How often you 'wash' your hair?

Let is get wet under the shower doesn't count! hehehe. I usually wash my hair using the shampoo 3 times a week. I massage the sculp of the head then leave it for at least 2 minutes. Then I rinse, and start with the conditioner or oil treatment for the scalp, again massage gently and leave for 2 minutes. after that i rinse again and dry it with the towel. and then i apply the hair tonic. and let my scalp 'rest' without applying any gel or mousse or anything. what about you? do you use a 2-in-1 shampoo/conditioner or use seperately? how do you wash your hair? how often? please share. cheers

Everyday when I take bath,I wash my hair with shampoo. Two times a week I massage my hair and scalp and leave it for atleast one hour and then washed it away. One time a week I put hot towel on my head. It properly clean the scalp. That's it.

one hour? i am surprised why you never felt itch on it. that's too long for leaving shampoo on your hair.

i had been suffering from dandruff all the time. so, i consulted a dermatologist and here's what she told me to do. use nizoral atleast once a week. the green one and never wash my hair everyday. aside from shampoo causes dandruff, it also dries my hair. so, i wash my hair every other day. i shampoo and massage onto my scalp for a maximum of 2 minutes. beyond 2 minutes will irritate my scalp already. rinse. apply conditioner after but never make it touch the scalp as much as possible. conditioners, as my dermatologist explained is composed of very strong ingredients. after i consulted her and did as what she tell me to do, my hair is healthier and shiny. plus dandruff free.

well i'm glad you're dandruff free now hehehe. congrats. some people say that if we use the same shampoo for a long period of time, our hair will get 'immune' to it and this will create dandruff. I'm not sure whether this is true or not. my current shampoo Philip Mitchell brand i'm using it for almost a year now, but never give any problem so far. thank god. cheers

I wash my hair every day. I have very oily hair and I can't go more than a day without washing it. I hate it, my daughter has very nice hair and can go every other day without washing her hair.

lucky your daughter. my hair is kinda dry. that's why i use the hot oil treatment every once in a while to moist them, and steaming them once a month.

My hair has to be washed every day. I work at a restaurant, and if I don't wash it daily, it smells like pizza. UGH! My hair is long and has to be worn up at work. I've tried the 2-in-1's and they don't work too well for me. I just can't seem to get a comb through it without using the separate conditioner. I wish it would work though, it would save me a step in the shower every morning! After washing and conditioning, it goes up in a towel to allow the excess H2O to soak out of it. Then it gets combed and put up. I use a light touch of hair spray to help hold it in place. I try to be creative with my hair styles, but some days its the same old thing. Hair spray is a must. Quite an interesting topic :) Hugs!

i used to use the usual 2-in-1 also but i still have problem with my scalp. People at the salon advice me to use separate conditioner. It's better this way. I don't use much of a hair spray and gel though. They tend to give me dandruff hahahaha. cheers

well i live in a tropical counrty which means it hot most of the time so that only means that i sweat a lot well not that lot but i sweat okay. so i take a bath everyday to be clean! same goes with my hair i shampoo it everyday to keep it clean and shiny. in the philippines (where i live) you need to take care of your hair because the sun can damage it just like that.

i know what you mean. I'm from malaysia and our country has a similar climate. during hot days, my hair tend to be very dry and coarse (not sure what's the correct word heheheeh) so during these days i treat my hair more frequently, but not everyday... cheers

I wash my hair daily. I don't feel clean especially if I don't wash my hair. It is long and I do use a moisturizing shampoo. Pantene is my favorite. I do alter shampoos and that seems to prevent buildup. I claim to be a wash and wear girl. Don't spend alot on my hair. Being long it can be easier to care for than if I had some fancy type cut and curl thing going.

I wash my hair every day.I use shampoo and conditioner.i shampoo twice because I have long hair.I do leave a conditioner on for about a minute before rinsing.I also rinse in semi-cold water. This gives more shine to your hair. Then 3 times a week I deep condition it.I leave a hair repair type of conditioner on for about a half hour.

I've got long hair and it is a pain in the hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I wash my hair, every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday or Sunday, it all depends on what our plans are. It takes forever to get dry. I don't use 2 in 1 because I think it builds up on your hair, I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner. I'm going to cut it in a year's time! Can't wait!!

i wash my hair once a day, everyday... during super hot days, and over exposure to the sun, i'd wash it twice or even thrice. i'd shampoo it first then rinse then apply conditioner and let it stay there for 3 minutes then i'd rinse it. if ever i have time, i would wash my hair before i'd take my shower so that i can put an hot oil treatment to it and let it stay there for almost 30 minutes. then i'd rinse it when i'd have my shower. i prefer to use separate shampoo and conditioner than the 2-in-1 products because i sometimes feel that the conditioner is not enough for my hair.

I have also a black hair since its my hair's natural color and i find it good enough for me, whenever i want to put some colors on my hair i'll go to salon and ask them to cellophane my hair and put dark brown color on it, that way its washable. I always want to dye my hair to slight copper-reddish but I am afraid of the side effect it would give my hair as I constantly drop lots of hair every day. So now my hair is still black in color.

I wash and condition my hair everyday, if not it goes frizzy and unmanageable. I also give it a deep conditioning treatment once a week to help kept it healthy.

Hey there, borzack! Hmmm..How often do i wash my hair? Well,I wash my hair everyday. They say that you just have to wash your hair evry other day but I think it's a no-no. It's a must for me to really wash it everyday since hair is the dirtiest part of your body. I use a separate shampoo (anti-dandruff)and conditioner.
