hello people!!should kissing be legalised??what do you al;l think people should people be allowed to kiss in a public place??what is your country's or you people's approach to kissing in public!i am a citizen of india where kissing in public is a strict no-no!!kissing here in public is considered as a taboo!it is the mind set of some people that kissing is an indecent act!but for those who are in love think its an expression of love!!PDA(public displays of affection)is a norm in countries like usa....!even in mumbai in india its a norm but only in dark places and isolated places or in a movie theatre where lovers can grab a moment of love!!what's new about PDA in INDIA is its policing.in the last fortnight 200couples have been rudely interrupted and hauled to police stations on charges of offending indian culture.the couples were asked to pay a fine, worse their parents were summoned to the station! As embarrassments go,this was red hot!!! What do you think of this whole issue??should lovers be given their space and be allowed to express their love in piblic!i agree people should share their private moments in private but where will those couples who are not yet married and can't afford a hotel room!!??and just to kiss they need to go and pay an exorbitant amount in those hotels which are really unsafe??do you think there should be a place legalised only for couples where they aren't interuppted by the cops or any kind of villians when they sharing some great moments of their life!!!i am of the opinion that couples shoudn't create a nuisance and embarassment to elder people on the roads by kising in public!but i also think that there should be atleast some kind of parks or places where couples can sit peacefully with their loved ones!

Gosh, and I thought the Philippines was such a conservative country! Here, people don't usually kiss in public, not because it's against any law, but simply because it's not the usual thing to do in public. When couples display their affections towards each other in public, people tend to look at them, and the tendency is for the couple to feel embarassed. I guess it's because of our culture. In your country, it's probably because of the predominant religion...or is it? My fiance is an American, and you know how different it is in the US, so you can just imagine how much he is trying to adjust to our culture.

I think public showing of affection is a good thing atleast you don't hide anything. In this so called society here everything is done hidden 'n i think that is bad. If you love the someone show it publicly so that everyone knows.

A simple smooch, hug is fine by me. When i see couples mauling eachother i think they are being disrespectful and should get a hotel room.

Passionate kissing in public here in the philippines is a complete taboo. However, it is something that is not prohibited by law to be done in public. What prevents such actions is the culture that we have wherein kissing is considered still private and should not be for public viewing. However, necking which is more than kissing is considered scandalous and one could actually go to jail for lascivious acts. I think kissing in public that would not make others comfortable could be okey as long as it stays within the bounds of decency.

I don't see any reason to forbid people to kiss each other in public. Of course, as people said before me, it is not polite to do more than just kissing, but then again... Seeing couple kissing in public is cute and sweet and if anything shouldn't be forbidden, than it's this!

If you are asking view of a married man than no, I don't think that it would look nice to have two people smooching or kissing eachother on roads and public place. It will give a hike to crimes. I think r*pe cases are going to get to maximum. It would be btter if they decide to have some places for couples to interact with each other but that would be a very bold decision and indian government can't take it.

Kissing is perfectly okay and there is nothing wrong with it. I personally love to kiss and feel it should be legalized. Although Indians know everything, they act as if nothing's happening. Silly hipocrites !!!

Kissing in public has its own thrills - quite unique and incomparable. It may have been almost unheard of in India a few years ago, but is not an uncommon sight in metros or hill stations nowadays. What would have been frowned on a few years back barely merits a second glance now. Young people share their views and experiences.Kissing in public is OK for foreign tourists, but not for locals, according to a recent ruling by the Federal Court, the country’s highest. An ethnic Chinese couple will go on trial for holding hands and kissing in a park in Kuala Lumpur, a “crime” the college students committed in 2003. Islamic law prohibits unmarried couples holding hands or kissing, and is being enforced in this case by Kuala Lumpur City Hall. Foreign tourists and non-Muslims will still be allowed to express affection in public, so long as their kissing isn’t passionate, according to the KL mayor.

Yes Anita according to me it should be leagalised. But only till a kiss. Some people just go out of their way to show their love, which takes the name of vulguarity. So THAT should be prevented. But according to manners people should not display their affections for some one publicly!! Well thats what manners says!! But again as we are in 21st century banning on PDAs is such a small thing!! There are lot of bigger things that should be to be taken care of,many big and harmful crimes are taking place in public but our cops will just go after people who are in love. Now thats rude and selfish..!!

Im in the UK and kissing is perfectly OK in public over here. Just not to go too far lol Its a case of staying sensible with it, Like when I see my boyfriend in town we often greet each other with a hug and a kiss then we might go for something to eat in one of the cafes or something, sit down and talk, Its quite normal Lynn-Marie

It never even occured to me that kissing might be illegal in some countries. I am used to living in the US where it is legal. I don't think that it should be illegal, but I do think that people need to take their surroundings into consideration. For example if you are in a place where there are a lot of children you don't need to be kissing passionately. Where I live (in Miami, FL) a kiss on the cheek is a common way to say hello. I think that is okay. People just need to be considerate of what is going on around them. A kiss is an expression of affection in many cases.

On my opinion , its really okay to kiss in public as long as you dont do the "heavy" kiss .. hehe! Just a slight and passionate kiss is enough .. haha! enjoy kissing guyz

OMG, this is stupid - how can it be forbidden!?In my country it's legal and people are doing it no matter where they are. It's not something bad, what's all the racket about? If you go in the centre of the city you'll see kissing couples in the parks, at cafes and restaurants, in the public transport and no one cares.

I don't think lovers should be given the opportunity to spoil the upcoming ones. Some of them are not lovers, they only play games and they go out on the street kissing as if love exist between them. Kissing is a personal something and I think it should done in private places where it will not be seen. Thanks and have a nice day.

Do you have to legalize kissing? its not even illegal. it's only a matter of showing affection. Kissing is a sign of the love for the other person wether he or she may be your relative or your piance or your husband or wife maybe. I believe there's nothing wrong in kissing in public. Dont think of what others will say, but think about what your heart will say and how will you make your partner happy. It should always be mutual if you are kissing in public, one should not feel embarassed or ashamed if they are doing it in public.

According to me. That depended on the culture n the place he remained. If that has indeed become the community's habit there possibly not the problem. But had some communities that did not like this culture because of the influence of the religion or the cultural tradition that the "taboo" to be carried out.
