Do you consider online dating safe. Have you ever signed up at a dating site before? Do you think you can find a soul mate who will met your needs from such a site? Which sites have you signed up with and what was the outcome? Your responses please.

I have tried those sites before, but for men it is quite expensive. For some reason women are free. I never could figure that out and thought it was unfair, so stopped using them. I think you are always taking a chance when you go online looking for someone. Most people are not honest about many things, because they can hide behind their keyboard and post any picture they want that is supposed to be them.. Who would know any better unless you met in person. I just can't recommend dating sites to anyone. Meet the person yourself. That is always the best way and far less expensive.

They are sites that are free for men and women. What happens if you are interested in women from other countries? you cant be there physically to start off.

You know, I've never been a fan of actual online dating sites. It seems that people are more likely to lie about themselves on those sites than anywhere else on the internet! They're trying so hard to create an "ideal version" of themselves that they aren't being realistic at all. Personally, I met my husband online, but I wasn't at a dating site. In fact, we started talking in a chat room that was for college students, and talked about many different things without intending to date. However, as time went on, our relationship just grew, and it turned into romance. When I needed a place to live, I came to him, and we'll have been together for 8 years this May (and married for three of those years).
